DJ Qbert’s Wavetwisters. A multimedia scratch odyssey, and excellent movie to watch while smoking.
Music and story by DJ Qbert with animation by hundreds of local San Francisco visual artists. I first saw this when I was 6 years old. This shit is like star wars to me.
it’s made by a million different people, so if you don’t like a scene, just skip 1 minute ahead.
@Solowolf if you dig invisibl skratch piklz, you will definitely dig this. dj qbert was an original member of the piklz, and I’m pretty sure the rest of the crew is featured in this too.

@zephyr MAD PROPS!!! Wave Twisters is amazing and the animation on the videos was perfect Bay Area graffiti influenced. I got to see Q-Bert several times in person. Once with Z-Trip in Phoenix on two tabs of acid, once in Daly City with all the Piklz, DJ Flare & DJ 8-Ball too, and at the Las Vegas conventions a few times. He is a master musician and innovator and a big inspiration to me. When I get back to my turntables and milk crates, I will show some of my rarest scratch DJ vinyls and 12” singles. I might need a few days practice before I cut it up on a little video for the OGeez, but I will get down and get funky for you.

Old hundreds in sour cream ruffles bag nostalgia. … We used red hot ripplets but the sentiment is the same …they will strip you naked where I’m from cause you never know where the stash is at
