Eh… It’s a little too “spoken word/poetry slam” for my tastes haha!

I actually scrolled up so that I could still listen to the track, but not see the video. So I missed that part haha! The video was really getting on my nerves for some reason. Still don’t love the song, though. It’s summertime, you know what I mean? I only wanna listen to shit that gets me stoked for hanging out by the pool and getting lit. That song does not make me wanna do that haha!

Yeah mate each to their own I guess, I didn’t really hear it as rap music more like spoken word street poetry. Gets the mind moving more than the feet.

I guess it’s like you putting that Trinidad James cat’s album in the same category as Good Kid… I was eager to listen after that comparison but can’t lie it was really bad imo haha

What?!? “All Gold” is the shit! Hahaha… I don’t think I was comparing Trinidad to Kendrick. Or if it sounded like I was, that was not my intention at all haha. Trinidad James is full-on “guilty pleasure” listening to me, straight trashy-type shit, but I love it haha!

Haha I don’t think you compared them directly just that they came out at the same time and were both classics. I tried to like it haha. I can do ignant shit like A$AP and ScHoolboy Q but those dudes can actually rap.

Yeah, Schoolboy Q was getting played a lot that same summer as Kendrick and everybody else. He’s okay, not a huge fan, but also not somebody who I’m like,”Turn this garbage off,” like I am with certain other MC’s.

I will say this about my appreciation for Trinidad James, though: cocaine is a helluva drug haha!!! Like I’ve mentioned before, those couple three years were just insanely drug-fueled, hard to remember a lot of shit. But I remember Trinidad haha! I still dig that album, though, sans blow. Maybe it’s just because I grew up in the Dirty South and that shit resonates with me, I dunno, but I like that album.

And I don’t care who knows it haha.
