That was a heck of a team, Trottier and Bossy, Potvin (couldn’t stand his arrogance but great defenceman, Smith in net (his brother was a nasty cop here in Barrie) Gillies was as good of a tough guy as you could ask for. But they only won 4 in a row (only…that’s incredible) the Habs are the only team to win 5.
I think the Isles do hold the record for most playoff series wins in a row at 19 or something …I think the Habs only played 3 rounds for some of their cup wins.

most used to be at my house …they all knew my mom, she ran the fan club…we got to see some of the best times. i went to every practice, i was even hit in the head by a gillies slap shot from across the arena… if i told you how much gear my brother and i ruined playing street hockey with signed sticks…ugh…my head spins…we were super close with bobby nystrom, and gary howett, billy smith was out the house with his wife often…i can only begin to tell you the stories…The islanders wanted to teach me how to skate…due to the fact i was there all the time, …the memories i have hanging out with that team all thru the cups…is amongst the most legendary times in my life…
