An easier method for reversing using straight silver nitrate

TY once again…I did use CS last yr. with decent success…but a small amount of pollen for a ton of work…Haven’t made any fems since then, but I am ready.

We tried injecting Super Thrive. Although injecting silver seems out of the box… It’s not… STS is most effective because of its ability to penetrate plant cell walls quickly.

CS is slower because it lacks penateation abilitys. It’s a safe product because its has a lot less risk.So bypassing the plants protective wall with injection of a silver product would be nice.

As for the needle locking up post I made its a pain in the ass to shoot up a plant lol

Yeah, woody trunks are going to need a bigger needle

Cool… Don’t bet the farm on it yet though would be my advice, one swallow doesn’t necessarily make a summer lol

well of course, obviously im skeptical but also doesn’t hurt to keep an open mind and try.

I do CS spraying normally, but if potential targeted reversal in a one shot application is possible, then well yeah… worth a look

Happen to have a link to that paper

Excellent, as they say, keep an open mind, but not so open that your brain falls out.

I can’t find the one for hop research that I used for reference… but I did find this one that uses identical techniques on castor bean plants… I’ll keep looking.

1980 so this is not exactly a new idea lol…

I’ve heard tale of banana peels and seeds in a baggy will increase the ratio of females? Something about the gas from the peels. Anybody heard or tried this before?

Man that place has gone to the Children LOL
What up bro

Really fantastic idea, thank you for taking the time to experiment. I’m going to see if this method will convince my Original Diesel to reverse ASAP!

Wait a ding dong minute? Isn’t silver nitrate the little q-tips that the doctor uses to cauterize with???

I guess it is. That’s interesting af. :+1:

i have had some luck with just light stressing the plant …of course you have no control over where and how many balls the plant will make …but for people that really want a simple way to make fem beans it does work …i just put a young plant into flower for 3 weeks then back to veg for a week or two …then back into flower not sure why this works but it does

Could I inject this into a side branch and achieve the same results?

Went to a walk-in clinic to get a very bad burn looked at…the gauze was dried into the scab that had formed…the Chinese doctor didn’t have time to fuck around I guess, so she just ripped the gauze off, scab and all. …and here comes the blood, after about 10 seconds of trying to stop the bleeding she grabbed her S.N. swabs…very cool to see it work, hurt a bit, but very neat. Apparently it reacts to moisture…wanted to get some of those swabs to fuxk with people who pass out at parties.

A quick update, I now have a second plant that has responded to this treatment, this time a 2 foot blueberry fem where I treated just a single branch. This one was grown in coco/perlite and the stem is real woody. I had planned to use this for a test but struggled to inject the silver solution into it and all I managed was some between the bark and the pith. Obviously it got enough to have some effect. It appears that with a dose of 200 micro grams, every female flower site becomes ‘male’ but the plant still retains is female structure, as in the male flowers appear where the calyx’s would normally be, and that they don’t stretch out as a normal male does.
Also at a dose of 200 micro grams, there are virtually no female bits on the plant I treated, meaning it won’t be making a lot of it’s own seeds, although the lower branches below the injection site are still forming… Some experimentation with dosage I think is obviously required for ‘self seeding’ a plant.

Big ups for the discovery here. This is great stuff.

You can foliar spray silver nitrate, too. It will just burn them some.
