I spotted a real schlafmohn at my mother’s neighbours house and snagged 2-3 heads. At my friend’s back garden we inspected them and then just threw everything randomly, a year later he had like a fucking opium field in there 
they still grow there every year, the population is just a little tamed right now lol
2 or 3 years ago we slashed the heads for the milk to collect later but forgot about it, drunk ideas you know lol

oh ja,if you got it in the garten,the come back easily and grow like shit…
due to the summer-like temps and the mild weather during Autumn,the poppy already sprouting in late October this year …
…dunno,if they still standing after the snow & frost we got here 10-14 days ago…
