Here we prepare sauté:

Cut the spices, onions, garlic, saffron.
Sauté in a skillet with coconut oil, or butter, or good oil.

They are poppies yes.

I would never consume them because it is highly illegal to do so. But you can use the seeds for baking and I’ve heard anecdotally that you can collect the resin or make the heads into a tea.

lol,that´s right. many yrs ago we tried that PoppyHead-Tea in Morokko. nice! i didn´t tried the raw opium from scratching the heads,they are just flower for fun…it´s even illegal around here growing them :roll_eyes:

I’m not really sure. I just found these for the first time a couple years ago, and have been trying to ID them ever since. They grow as grown cover, no higher than 3-4” tall (<100mm)

I could eat my body-weight in wild blackcap raspberries or blackberries, but I won’t eat store bought at all. They taste like completely different fruits.

Unfortunately there are many things like this. It’s amazing what we accept as “food.” Bread might be the worst offender.

Yes man, in my country it’s illegal too.
but I don’t extract the resin, I just look at the flowers…
It wouldn’t be bad to have a powerful, natural sedative in case of an emergency. But I prefer to stay away from it.
