Any artists around?

Glad everything made it! Wasn’t supposed to get there Monday, or maybe Tuesday because of the holiday. I love when things arrive early :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: Happy early birthday bud @Carty !

Colored pencil, ink, watercolor and/or any combo of them. He has limited access to supplies so anything that can be used or made into something that can be useful is put use.

Thank you my brother… you rock. And the little booklet inside had some great tips on a few things I’ve been doing wrong in my layering…

Just a really nice gift… The wife says, wait a second… It’s MY birthday weekend, how come your getting all the gifts… I look at her and say… " I have better friends then you" … BAM… so when I woke up… hahaha.

This guy is talented… puts me to shame, I’m a doodler by comparison.

He’s obviously either been to school or spent his life mastering this… been watching videos of mixing these substrates like your describing… Like doing pencils and then dressing it with acrylic paints to give it depth…

So much to learn and improve on, my journey has just begun

Thanks man… just some goofing off that helps me battle depression… mostly OG members pets n stuff for now… been out of it for a while and need to reconnect.
I really like a good black and white sketch also… teaches you shading better…

I’m sorry I’ve been away for a bit dealing w/life issues. He is self taught, has had a lot of time to get it to where he is today. We’ve not spoken for awhile now over what now seems petty.

any chance we could get a look at that Green Hornet piece in the back?

The original green hornet with van williams and bruce lee is still one of my favorite tv shows.

Looks like it might be a few different versions of the character from different eras?

Is it 2 different eras of the same character? I never realized that, I just receive and hold on to some of his work for him. This one is colored pencil I believe.

@NICO I hope your brother has some for sale. Not for me cause I’m broke as fuck but artwork that good deserves to be paid for and an autodidact artist who got that good deserves to be recognized and get financial gain out of it.

Was already thinkin the GH looked pencil drawn

He does/did tattoo work and we’ve had his work for sale in a few different places. We had a falling out a year or so ago that seems rather petty now but we still have not spoken. So I am a bit out of the loop as to what he has going on. I will reach out w/an olive branch and see what the water is like. If he feels the same as I do, which is most likely the case, I will ask him to join and show off some of his more recent work. All the work I have ,except the joker, was up for sale on a now shut down site. They are the ones that hadn’t sold before the site closed.

That’s a cool one. Looks like Green Hornet with the ‘bandana’ face mask from the 1940’s movies, and Kato with the bandit mask and chauffeur cap from the 60’s TV show.

I drew this one for my sister inlaw from an old Tshirt… I gave it to her and posted it up on Facebook, the next morning found out Jimmy had passed away…
