Anybody watching Little Leage World Series

I really enjoy watching the 10-12 year olds play. At this level kids make some amazing plays. Well coached and disciplined. Kinda a rare thing it seems in todays youths. Pitching was/is amazing. Several no hitters and several putchers with double digit strikeouts. Canada just won a great game against Czech Republic. Moving on!

I have a little.
I think it was Asian Pacific versus Canada. I can’t remember who I seen today. The one boy number 12 look like a short man. He was pretty big.

After the major leagues first baseball strike, I turned away from all things baseball, except LLWS.

The first strike was April 1, 1972.

Washington kids looked good over Tennessee. The upcoming game of Japan v Chinese Taipei should be a great game. The pitcher from Chinese Taipei clocked an 81 mph fastball the other day. That’s equivalent to 104 mph in the Majors. Japan always fields a good team.

Loving some baseball. It’s a kid’s game.

Well it’s day 2 of the LLWS!!
Since I live a couple of hours from the stadium, me, my wife, my daughter and her husband are going tomorrow, and hang out all day.
Will be my first time going, and no idea why I’ve not gone before hand.
I lived directly across from a municipal park, as a kid, where a few fields were set up, but more for kids to beat around on. A practice field, I heard them called once.
We would play baseball from morning to dark, game after game, or 3 flies, all summer long.
We not really pulling for any team, but for all who play, as every one of them play their hearts out!!
May the best team win!!

Another great pitching duel. South Dakota/Pennsylvania. Another 1 hit complete game for SD pitcher. I threw the rock back in the day. These kids are impressive.

It was a great day yesterday! It was hot as hell also!
TV does little justice to entire complex. Not a dig at TV at all.

You will do a lot of walking, first we went up to Volunteer Stadium.

We got there around 12:30 am, and after parking, and waiting to go through security, we got to Volunteer Stadium, right before Canada and Latin America got started, at 1:00.

The grand stand area, was packed full, so we stood out behind left field, watched a few innings.
It was very hot, my daughter and my wife, (they are both bigger sports enthusiast than I am) needed to find some water, and some shade for bit.
So we walked up the hill towards Howard J Lamade Stadium.
We wandered a bout just looking around at the various tents set up.
washing ourselves in some shade when possible, and letting the great breeze cool us, for a few minutes.

As we walked by Lamade, entrance ways, the right side of the stadium was already full for the 3:00 game, Mountain vs Northwest.
So went to other side, and realized why seats were open, sun baking side!!
We got great seats, and loved watching all the hill sliders, and the warm up practice. But it was like an hour, before the game starts.

The game was amazing to watch, just the intensity of how hard these kids work, just slapped a perma smile on your face.
The sun and heat, around the 4th inning, had all of us starting to burn, and the heat was getting to my wife.
Lamade, had far less breeze getting into it, than Volunteer did, but yeah, it was very hot.
We loved the experience!!
