Alright, so I transplanted the plants that appeared to be female ten days ago into their seven gallon airpots. None of the Soars made it, @Eudaemon I’m sad to report. I’ll be starting some new seeds May 1 and will probably revisit those beans. It just sounds like a very good cross, wish somebody would post a log somewhere.
All four Uplifts appear to be female, though @Btrees505 so that’s good. Ended up with, I think, two Purple NL2 females, two Stardawg f2 females and one Midas female, in addition to the four Uplifts. They’ve vegged for 62 days now, just flipped them this morning. Got them on an 11:45/12:15 schedule to start and will decrease the light over the course of the next two months or so.
Here’s some pics:
Uplift #1:
Uplift #2:
Uplift #3:
Uplift #4:
I really like the way the Uplifts look, with those big-ass fan leaves and all. Pretty stoked about them.
And here’s the Purple NL2 #1:
And the Purple NL2 #2:
I’m not positive on the sex of either of the Purple NL2’s, so we’ll see what happens here in the next few days.
Here’s the Stardawg f2 #1:
See those crazy crinkly leaves on the #1? I’ve had some plants that grew crinkly leaves before, but nothing like this. They look bizarre.
And here’s the Stardawg f2 #3:
The #3 basically just LST’d itself after I topped it, I dunno if you can see it in those pics or not. But yeah, right after I topped her, she kind of flopped around and really spread out and developed what should end up being a bunch of tops. Both of the Stardawg f2’s look totally different from one another, but that’s not surprising, considering they’re f2’s and all.
And here’s the lone Midas:
I’ve been really, really impressed with the Moonshine Haze from last grow, so I’m pretty stoked about this one as well. At some point, I need to plant more than three seeds of Rare Dankness’ “Sativa” seeds and do a real selection, because I think that their Neville’s Wreck male might be really good. I’m not at all impressed with their “Kush” seeds, just going off of those Starkillers I grew last round, but their “Sativas” seem like they might be really good and worth growing.
Anyway, I’ve been saying for months now that I’m going to go back to the way I used to grow and do everything the same way I did it for my first three or four grows. My yields back then were way better than they have been lately. So to that end, I topdressed each seven gallon pot with gypsum, kelp, neem, fish bone and MBP and covered all of that up with a decent amount of EWC and then mulched. I haven’t used fish bone in a long-ass time. I also, last night, watered with an AACT. Four gallons of water, 1.5 cups of Bu’s Blend and 1/3 cup of molasses, along with just one tablespoon each of OG Biowar Roots and Foliar packs, brewed for 24 hours, which in theory should create a fungal-dominant tea. On the OG Biowar site, they suggest adding four tablespoons of each, but that seems like overkill to me. I’ve actually never added OG Biowar to my AACT’s before, so… We’ll see. It’s been a really long time since I’ve even brewed a sort of “flowering” compost tea, but it is something that I used to use religiously, always like at the day of flip or maybe a few days after flipping. And I always got really good results, so… Again, we’ll see.
Anyway, yeah, here we are. Hopefully all of these plants end up female haha, because I’m really not positive that they all are. Fingers crossed, I guess…
