Can Messages(PMs) be "deleted"?

I’m a bit confused why I can edit some of my old PMs & not others. (?)
…and can they be deleted? :mailbox_with_mail:

Another member suggested purging some old un-needed info & I can’t see a way to do this. :wastebasket:

If there is sensitive data, contact a moderator.
