(complete)1981 Roadkill Skunk

That happened with a Pura Vida f2 I grew a while back. The node underneath it will keep growing, kind of as if you topped it, but where those leaves fused together or however you wanna describe it, that’s not gonna grow anymore. Or it didn’t with the PV I was growing, anyway. Ended up tossing that plant. And I NEVER toss plants haha.

Thanks, I will keep a close eye and if it does what you described we might have to get rid of it

i have a lavender frosting that did the exact same thing i just topped it and it carried on as if nothing had happened give it a go give it a chance

If you top it off, it might give the shoots underneath a better chance to grow out.

Definitely top it and let it go, that may be THE pheno! Lol

Consider it topped!

Here’s our Rockstars picking up speed. The mutant is topped and working on new growth. I gave them their first dose of the mantis, it’s super easy shake well, 5ml per litre of water and stir. It’s too early to say it’s any good but feeding is easy.

I’m just now noticing how many test subjects you have there. Wow! Definitely need that ease in feeding and mixing, so your not at it all day long. Awaiting your results, if it’s worth it, I’ll try it on a run where I plan on doing a large hunt.

Yes it’s definitely a help. I will keep everyone updated on how the plants respond and if there’s any issues that pop up

Very excited to hear the report on these! I am one of those who scoured forums on the hunt for the true roadkill skunk. Growing Beatrix choice x RKS now.

Love the simplicity of that mix, hoping it works amazingly well for you

Wow! I just took a real close look and there is an EXTREMELY high number of males that have already shown themselves, scary how many

Everything in the yellow outline is male for sure, the rest hasn’t shown sex yet

There’s 14 so far. I missed 2 in my outline

Sausage fest, how many males are you selecting?

I’m not sure, I know the co ops are supposed to be open pollination but 14+ males might be a little much.
Any suggestions?

I’m definitely not an expert on breeding by any means but I was thinking the same, 14 potentially more is a lot. Maybe kill any runts but I know they can potentially be resinous males so it’s hard to say without growing them out. I’m sure some more knowledgeable people will chime in. Plants look great though

Thanks, I will be watching them closely for anything negative that’s for sure.

In my case that’s 13 too many!

Probably actually a good thing for genetic variety… but I dunno.
