(complete)1981 Roadkill Skunk

That’s what I was thinking. It’s only 4 1/2 weeks in flower so it can only get better right?!

that would be my logic. i’d start coming up with excuses for the smell so you dont get caught off guard. my vote would be to just stare someone dead in the eyes and say something wild like “i trap and train skunks to perform Wes Anderson movies and upload them to youtube” guaranteed not to have any follow up questions

Good idea @LegsMahoney! Lol

That would probably work. :stuck_out_tongue: If I were the type to ask questions in the first place, I’d probably be worried about getting locked in your basement after that… “It puts the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again” kinda situation.

thats pretty much what youre banking on with that approach i think

We keep a joint handy and light it up whenever company comes over so they always think it’s what I’m smoking. But when people start driving by just to smell it from the road… it’s time to chop and call it quits.
The smell that some strains have is unreal. People that are unfamiliar can’t even imagine how stinky some plants can get.

I’m not overly concerned about some smells outside, my neighbour a couple houses over grows in a greenhouse and his shed without any issues so I should be ok. Everyone around here loves the smell of good pot and my plant count is 50 so I’m good from a legal standpoint.
I swapped out one of my filters so the one on the exhaust fan that takes it outside is new.
With just the exhaust on and a new filter the smell is very faint right by the exhaust and with the second circulating the room the smell outside is gone.

Edit. I like the smell and don’t mind it but my backyard is close to a public trail so I figured I should do something about it

I’ve noticed too that fully-seeded plants tend to eat themselves alive in the last weeks of flower, and the little bit of reading I’ve done suggests that seed-bearing plants prefer something closer to veg nutes. Doubt it’s quite that simple, but at the very least the general theme seems to involve upping the N for seeds.

That’s a good point and it rarely discussed, they do have different requirements.

Lately I’ve started to feed veg nutriments further into flower. Basically until the stretch is done, but I haven’t seen much discussion about it.

Cheers

Seeded plants definitely have a different nutritional need, closer to the needs of plants in veg.
Unfortunately mantis is a one part, all in one nutrient so adjusting the strength would most likely lead to more problems

I’d say so!

That was really cool what the breeder did! Great job with the grow, you and the wife! Make sure she knows her efforts are appreciated by many.

I have some of them heime cheeba rks beans that were reproduced from another source.
I only popped one bean and it was a female.
I personally was getting smelly diaper poo type smells. But when broken up after dry and cure it had skunky tones to it and more pungency when broken up. Probably requires some hunting to find that one Skunky one!

I moved all the pregnant ladies under one light. I didn’t see any point in keeping them separated since I just dusted what I had going anyways.
It will make it easier for my wife to water when I’m away ….
Speaking of, I’m leaving today again for work and she will be doing her thing to help us out when I’m gone.
They are at 5 weeks so should be getting fairly close when I get back. These will be the last pics for a couple weeks.
