Alrigghhttt the males have been in flower for 15 days now. I THINK I spotted a couple of pollen sacs starting to open up. Is it time to go in and collect pollen or should I wait longer?

Wait till most of the pods open up. Which male was first?

I don’t want to peak during lights out but i’m pretty sure plant number 6 was the 1st.

I did stem rubs on all 3 and oddly 1 of the males has almost zero smell to the rub. The other 2 smell very much like the females.

Just by looks and for what its worth, the #6 looks almost identical to my TKs1. Keep up the good work!

I’ve been paranoid about spreading the pollen around lol but once i start collecting ill take better pics of the males. I was thinking about it last night I should of setup an exhaust that leads outside! not like
I need to worry about pollinating anyone’s outdoor stuff this time of the year.

Worst case i pollinate everything lol which is not terrible but I’d like to not hit the female jungle boys with pollen so I have some bud to smoke at the end of this!

Yeah after dealing with males, you have to strip and wash every time.

Anyone have experience with HEPA filters? If i hook up one of these to an exhaust fan will it do the trick and catch any stray pollen?

So far i’ve just been keeping the exhaust fan in the males tent off but I’m playing with really high humidity levels becuase of it (80%)

I think it would work. .3 microns or larger. I will try to find out how big pollen is.
Pollen grains are 30 microns

Ive got a old carbon filter I can run it through also idk if that will catch any pollen lol

Pollen is 30 microns, so you should be good with that.

A little late to the party but glad I found this thread.

Found one of these at the local canadian tire on clearance for $7 so ill give it a shot. Fits nicely onto a fan compared to the other one.

That combined with a carbon filter on the other end and hopefully ill be catching most or all of the pollen.

This is something else I seen that may be better down the road as a more permanent option.

The carbon section will not be doing the work but the hepa will.
