Haha… I have been very busy in the shop these days…10-12 hour shifts… I did not have any money for a big dehum for the shop…And my RH is spiking with all the fkn rain we have been getting on the North Island, right now.
So that has caused me some grief, even with my W/P resistant strains, it has been slowly creeping. So I thinned the room again, and spread them out the best I can. Then spot sprayed the entire room, only hitting the fan leafs, of plants effected…With Jake’s all natural spray (Best product you can get for W/P…All natural)…
I will go in the room tonight, and snap off a couple pics for you guys…I promise not to leave you fine gents hanging…The girls are getting greasy, why wouldn’t you fellas want to get a quick view haha…Any normal man, would…
I have always expected the worst to go wrong…That way when it doesn’t…It is a bonus haha…
I caught it as soon as it started rearing itself…Then went on the attack haha…I have a little ways to go yet, and know how fast it can get out of control. I have now done everything I possibly can, to give this garden the best chance at doing well…
Also, about Tiny’s “Boys”…Please don’t do that…I have heard crazy thing about this “Tiny” guy…A mean Hombre’, not to be messed with…
Would you and @Tinytuttle , possibly take a small bribe, to pretend it did not even happen?
If anyone who sees this, knows anything about No-Till…Can someone help me with why the girls leaves are clawing? I am thinking the PH may be off in the soil? I will be looking into it tonight, I hope I can figure it out…
How wet is your soil? You recently said that there’s been a spike in humidity could you be over watering a bit? What kinda of RH numbers ru you looking at?
I’d maybe go a little longer between waterings those beds with that mass of media will hold more moisture than the rest of the grow more than likely may also want to give the cover crop a trim job to reduce transpiration of those plants as well.
From what I can see in your set up looks like you could also use quite a few more fans to help circulate air more . Ru following VPD charts? Maybe take some bits and pieces from that last pod cast I sent ya?
I would also add those plants are sitting a lot higher than the others, I expect they are a few degree’s higher in temp as well as closer to the lights.
Nice looking plants though man, that’s going to put you in trim jail for a year come harvest time.
“The Claw” is probably from me over watering…I left the soaker hose on a bit too long perhaps. I remember the night I did it…I had no idea it put out as much water as it did… The thing that messed me up regarding this, is the moister meter I have buried in my bed, does not have prongs long enough to get down to the main layer of soil? So maybe it was reading on the dryers side for the top half of the bed, but the lower half is wet. I am glad I put a layer of drain rock in the bottom of the bed.
I compressed the cover crop down a bit, hoping that would slow down the growth of it…But after talking to you here, have made my mind up, that the cover will get a chop. I still plan on drying it, then putting the trimmings back into the bed, for the next round.
I have not been hitting the bed much at all, but know the last one was a bit heavy. Sooo, back to small watering’s for this guy…
Tell me about it Tiny…I had MULTIPLE arguments about circulating fans…My so called “Partner” was dead set we didn’t need them…I argued the opposite, and he said I can buy them myself, when I had my own money to (he had the funds to himself). Them missing, plays a HUGE part in this fkn W/P doing what it is…Our Humidity has been all over the map here lately. Anywhere from 45% to 60% depending on the weather. He has more to do with the W/P than he will ever admit, as he brought [plants (moma’s) over with it in the bushy part of the plant he never cleaned out properly…Then says no to the circulating fans…
Needless to say, it has made my workload rise another shitload of hours, by babying them with spot spraying the last month I have here.
Either way…Thanks for the heads up Tiny…Appreciated Dude.
Thanks Explorer…Ha! Yeah, I am hoping the Ganja Gods will keep the W/P that’s sneaking up, in check for me…(Fingers crossed). I think that strain is an AK cross? Not too sure…But with the flash on, it gave it a cool effect up closer…
Thanks Shadey…Yes, the bed is four and a half feet up, at plant level…I am going to try and turn them back down a bit tonight, and see if it helps the poor girls…And as far as the Trim sentence goes…I am not worried about the T. Jail time…I’m what you would call a “Lifer”…I have been institutionalized for well over two decades haha…I have a decent click, that can help me out while in the pen…
It has been a lot of work haha…The good thing about the last prune I just finished in there, is the trimming of this room, will be very easy going…And fairly quick, me thinks…I do plan on trimming this dry though…
Iv been in small dispensary at about 1/10 the size you have the and there’s like 6-8 fans in probably a 20x50 foot room … sounds like your partner needs kicked to the curb! I can’t imagine how frustrating that must be! Slight movement of plants is how they become sturdier and are able to withstand more weight of coarse I don’t need to tell you that it’s common knowledge plus it help keep humidity more constant over the area and not tend to localize.
I have five fans in my little Grow Trailer, that is 1/8th of the size.
These are the most simple, and basic things to comprehend…Even people new to growing, can grasp this…He refuses to listen to anyone about growing…Because he knows everything haha…Yet the most important, and basic things like PH’ing the food, circulating fans, and not dry trimming before the stalk snaps (our last argument)…He has proven he can not, or is too ignorant, to see things other ways than his own “perfect way” of doing things… An Old Dog, so to speak.
When I ask him to prove his shit, he refuses, and laughs at me for telling him to look it up on the net…Says he does not believe anything on the Internet
All this is coming from one of the only people I know, who has killed an entire crop before…
It’s only a matter of time, before we are not partners…We are just not in a position to do so yet…In time though…
Until then…I plan on not arguing with him, or letting him, or his action stress me out. Stress helps nothing in situations like this. I just have to keep truckin along. If this situation is to get better, it will be through my efforts, not his.
