So personally I have never heard that, so I looked it up and apparently some people do call them that in Saskatchewan…but the entire province of the Skatch is just over 1 million. So not many Canadians call it that.
And apparently the name came from a “scandalous dance” from the early 1900s.

LOL, sounds like BS to me. Have never heard it before and I would remember that, lol. Perhaps it’s big with 5 year old’s or something but I don’t know, my kids are in their mid 30’s.
