Electricity bill too high?

Went to jail bout 2 years ago. While in , someone squated on my place. Ran my bill up to $900. Been tough on me since out, power is still on thanks to Corona covid 19. I haven’t payed .01 cent to the power co.yet. I’m working on building a. D.I.Y. fuel free energy generator as we speak. Got to get her done before the power co. shuts me down. They really want the $2800 I owe

Yeah my place is assessed 50k higher than the bank appraised it when it came time to refinance to get rid of PMI since my loan id worded that if we have 78% equity into the house PMI goes away.

The “appraisor” asked how much we put into the house and added it to the price paid as if no appreciation happened over the 3 years we owned it. Fucking joke. The comps he used were a joke.

So when it comes to paying taxes on the property its X+50k when it comes to removing PMI its just X.

My neighbor is a realtor so he checked comps they could have used and to remain professional and not bad mouth he just said they didnt do you any favors. Which is PC for they fucked you.

This was from 2014 to 2017 in a time where houses had 20% appreciation. We paid $201,500 for the house which was a steal for the half acre lot we have. Very hard to find that land on anything less than $500k at the time. Now its hard to find that land on anything under $650k

Hope nobody is trying to grow indoors in certain parts of Texas right now. Might just be the most expensive weed you ever smoke.

As long as the bills paid the company doesn’t care. If I run all 3 of my 1000w hids and a space heater mine hits $350 and I live in an 800sqft duplex. Not worth the risk of “stealing” it(not that my broke ass hasn’t thought about it) if you’re in Texas there’s a movement gaining ground for a utility payment strike(nobody should pay those assholes), look around on fb and Twitter.

You obviously haven’t seen the results of all the power outages, people going from $300 one month to $17,000 the next for the same amount of use. Charges based on the amount of demand for use fucking criminal…

What’s also really fucked is that up until 1964 electric utilities were owned by the federal government. Like we already payed for the shit then they sold it to private business interests.

Last winter for Jan and Feb I was using an average of 91kw a day, this year it was 52kw a day average. It’s amazing the difference not haveing 4 young adults in the house makes. I would find windows open and fans running because they were hot from all the electronics they would leave on, when not using them, instead of turning down the heating in the room and the electronics off when not using them :rage: My monthly plan payment dropped from $435 a month last year to $299 this year, it will drop again next year as they all didn’t move out until August last year. Hopefully it will go down to about $200 next year or in 6 months as I am building a surplus of money in the plan, even in winter which we have never done before. And the power company are adjusting every 6 months instead of yearly now.The LEDs are making a big difference as well.
