Send me your details please. Remember, the shells are a little tough but other members have had success with scoring and soaking :ok_hand:

I scored 2 of these and both popped.

Iā€™m super excited about these!

It sucks you have to score them but Iā€™m super excited to see them go as well!

May your buds be as hard as those seeds

Someone once told me real cannabis seeds are naturally hard and need to be scored. Canā€™t remember whoā€¦ But I do know that in nature some seeds need to go through a raging fire to germinate into some of the largest trees. I might be making this upā€¦ Not sure.

Does anyone have any auto flower pollen they wouldnā€™t mind parting with? I donā€™t care what it is just any ole auto pollen will do.

That is quite true, especially for older seeds.
The shells seem to need ā€˜extra helpā€™ as apposed to beans a year or less old.

Strategies for popping older beans is a topic for meā€¦ :vulcan_salute:

Cheers

Cuz, Iā€™m not sure who told you that, but itā€™s just not true lol Iā€™ve been germinating ā€˜real cannabis seedsā€™ for many decades now and have rarely ever had to score them! However, in the case of older seeds, that can be true. It helps them by weakening the time hardened shell. There may or may not be truth in the tree seeds having to go through fires etc to germinate (fact check that please) I donā€™t know about that personally. But, I DO know personally about Ganja seeds!
Those seedlings look like theyā€™re coming along nicely for you though, good luck with em! Hope you get some nice keepers!
I believe the story is more about some tree seeds going through fires, and then still germinating, is probably the more accurate situation.

The tree seed only sprouting after a fire is true.
I am pretty sure they are in Yellowstone. Memory is a little foggy. Australia also has some I believe

Yep lol I googled that fact
Some plants, such as the lodgepole pine, Eucalyptus, and Banksia, have serotinous cones or fruits that are completely sealed with resin. These cones/fruits can only open to release their seeds after the heat of a fire has physically melted the resin.
Like i said, i wasnā€™t very sure of that. But as to marijuana seedsā€¦ that I DO know lol If ā€˜scoringā€™ were needed for them to sprout, then thereā€™d be no marijuana! What scored all the marijuana seeds thatā€™ve grown wild for all these millennia ?! lol

ā€œScoringā€ in nature could be as simple as wind blowing the seeds over rough terrain.

Thatā€™s just TFF!
@Randar cuz, Iā€™m not going to even begin to argue that point with you! lol Why would you even start to ā€˜play the devilā€™s advocateā€™ on the subject? Thatā€™s the only reason I can think of for you to even begin to say that?
ā€¦smh

But the soil. The soil. It acts like sandpaper to the seed. Dontcha see?
The seed wiggles into the proper depth and then when it rains, the soil acts sorta like wetsanding the seed and lo & behold; germination.
Think, man, THINK!
