I can confirm all of those things
No-- they are more expensive- but if the card is 1oz or less- its only 1 stamp—still cheaper than multiple stamps!
reg stamp= $0.63
hand sort stamps= $0.76
Great win @Weednerd.Anthony . Still hoping for that magic dust. That would great stuff to do my first breeding project with. Thanks again @DougDawson for your time and generosity.
Up to 28 grams on a forever stamp
Hmm, I find that interesting.
Unless they deem it needs to be hand sorted…we’ve received 2 so far that had " postage due" stamped on them!
Well, I’ve noticed by using a scale that it is possible with 2-3 flips to be just over. I too have received a postage due, .35 or close to that. I think if it’s just over, they don’t care much, but you re taking a risk. Best to weigh it, anything over an oz requires extra postage, or it’s possible you kiss the beans buh-bye.
geez i taped 4 quarters in a letter and put 2 stamps on it hope thats enuf postage
My postmaster thinks I run a from home crafting business selling homemade beads…( hey…small town, ultra conservative, and cops still call it THEIR town and HATE weed!) Anyway…he told me if I write “hand sort only” on it and use the 76-cent hand sort stamps, even a couple grams over they’ll ignore. if in doubt…or you Know its over weight, add another smaller stamp! They still make 24-cent stamps that allow you an additional ounce!
Yea they hate lots of things, weeds just one thing
It’s weird too, they respond to calls ALL DAY where the cause is clearly Alcohol. You would think they’d know better by now.
@Gonzo No…cuz most Cops DRINK…a lot!!
Knock on wood i have not had that happen.
According to post office it’s up to 28 grams
That’s an ounce …
Are those the butterfly nonmachinable stamps? Because you can pay more for a nonmachinable thatvwont crush seeds and there us butterflies on them🤩
When in doubt I weigh the letter. .1 over an ounce and I have the post office add the needed postage
That’s them! Bigger stamp with a black and blue butterfly on it!
@Lady.Zandra63 I’ve been using Non-machinable stamps and rubber stamping the envelopes “non-machinable”. One of the workers at my local PO recommended that I do that. I’d never heard of the hand-sort only stamps, but they sound slightly cheaper than the non-machinable stamps. I wonder what is the difference in the way the letters are processed.
I wonder if in spain is something like “non-machinable” or “hand-sort”. I review all of the company list of prices and weights and found nothing about that option. Anyone knows?
HG!
Pretty sure they are the same stamp…??? Then again…have to check…!
