If you click on your icon at upper right, and then click on “dismiss” at the bottom right of the pulldown, that should do it?

If you want to clear out your message box, archiving the messages you have now should do it? Click on your icon, then double click on the mail icon, click the icon that looks like a bulleted list, select all, and click archive… I think?
Hitting that clears out like 1 green selection on my phone. Have to try on my ipad

I hit te dismiss all buton, but nothing happens, maybe because there’s so many. Trying to do it in sections. All the Likes just taking up space.
