We’re not not Libya though…

If I’m not mistaken I do believe Libya DOES have universal, state paid healthcare…

lol I hear ya man. I’m always for that. Most of the better countries have it, but the medical industry lobby here keeps stopping it. too much money to be made without it.

Hard to beat the health care benefits or I would be out 10’s of thousands of dollars right now for the surgery they just performed. That was quite the trip I just went through, it really helps to work in a hospital. In through staff entrance, down staff hallway, 5 min wait and straight into the OR. Who knew doctors use lasers instead of scalpels now. That means there were plenty of interesting sounds and smells while they dug down further and further. On a happy note it was a record size for the surgeon who has never removed anything nearly that big under a local, lol. I guess if you are going to do something you go for the gold. They were kind enough to show me the 7" x 6" tumor they just removed and it was bigger than the nurses hand, wow it’s amazing what the body can hold. After being scolded by the surgeon like 10 times for not allowing them to knock me out all is done, 3 layers of stiches and I am back home. Dam it nice to get that over with.

well if you have universal healthcare…why would you pay for insurance? So the drug companies can’t just name their price. lots of lawyers out of work…has to be bad for the economy ya know.

Ouch@ Well, I’m glad you’re back home and ok! That does sound like a rather large tumor, bro! Get back into good shape soon…

Really happy to hear it went so smoothly!

Don’t tear any stitches going for a quick draw dibbs! In fact you better just lay off the dibbs till those stitches come out! Hahaha

Damn coach, I just pulled a Thumb-y.

You know it brother. I decided to be lazy and take tomorrow off so I don’t tear anything, slugging 80 lb copiers apparently will be a bad idea. Oh well, it’s all just a memory now. Thanks for all the well wishes folks. It’s still somewhat frozen but they warned me to take some Advil and Tylenol together as its going to smart a bit.

My wife had stage 3 breast cancer and had one removed almost 5 years ago. The removal is the easy part.

Sorry to hear that brother, hope she is ok. Yeah, that was the easy part, they did all the work  I just lay there and tried to nap. Ever few inches I would tell them they hit a new spot that wasn’t frozen and they just jabbed me with a bunch more needles. Time to smoke a joint.

The wife here has had 3 lumpectomies over the years, they’ve taken 2 from one breast and 1 from the other. She’s lost over half of one breast and a third of the other breast. But thankfully none were malignant! All benign…

Or even a couple of joints!!

That’s horrible but amazing at the same time bud. Glad to hear they were all benign, scary stuff.

I was referring to chemo and radiation therapy. They take a lot more out of you than removing the malignant mass.

She has severe Rheumitoid Arthritis, needs a hip replacemtent and lymphedema…but she is cancer free.

I know what you meant bud, I have gone through that with loved ones and it is horrible. Glad to hear she recovered and is cancer free.
