lol! No I know it’s something we all know, but that was how they worked it in the USA right? It was the devils weed that marijuanna but meanwhile people didn’t know they were talking about outlawing cannabis.
Up here they just outlawed cannabis and it was over, but nobody was arrested until the 60s for possession.

At the time, the public didn’t know that cannabis / hemp is the same thing as the scary foreign word marihuana. Lots of racism followed, targeted at marijuana and hemp became a public casualty as a result.
