You’re living my wildest dream! I extensively looked into grafting late this spring. It intimidated me so much I decided to start a small bonsai mother collection, or at least try. One of the two isn’t looking too hot. Fantastic job!!

It all depends in the mother room size, i start from seed and do a pheno hunt then keeping the best as mother. I never clone and keep the clone as mother unless i get it from somebody else but this never happens to me.
After i found one or two really good plants i make them my mother plants for a 6 months to a year. i like to renew my mothers sooner But thats just how i do it.
