I'm jealous of soil growers

Did I miss something here?
I thought I read this entire post and didn’t find anything about anyone throwing soil out.

Are you referring to Hydro where they flush the system out?

No. A fellow grower. A real life instance I mentioned recycling and found out it goes in the yard for outdoor but outdoor ‘soil’ has too many bugs to go in the tents!

I would like to thank that person for keeping their local grow store in business. I sometime lose track of how convenient it is to go to my Local grow store when I need just a little something I don’t have.

Recently I was online looking for a product well call BAMF (Don’t want to advertise for them) and sure as shit I could get it delivered tomorrow before noon. So instead. I packed up a few small vials of beans and headed over to my local hydro/grow store. I already knew that they don’t stock BAMF but wanted to see what they had. I was browsing the section with similar products when one of the Bad Ass Conveyors of Knowledge (BACK for short) asked me if I needed any help. Of course, I said No… I am just browsing. This MF’er then said we just got in a New Product you may be interested in. Sure as #2 this MF’er was holding a quart bottle of BAMF. Needless to say a big ol’ smile was on my face and I purchased me some BAMF shit.

As always, I left the beans I brought with We’ll call them Angel .

Yes, I know all of the individuals that work at my local Hydro/Grow store and you should know yours too IMHO. You can also find out if any are 420 friendly if you talk to them enough. Anyway, they hand out my seeds to the individuals that spend their hard earned money at their local Hydro/grow store. I figure this is just my part of Overgrowing the World…or maybe just the very small little plot of land I call my town.

I would use the story of your fellow grower to impart meaningful knowledge to them so that they can grow at your level. Who knows… If you do a good enough job at imparting your knowledge, that individual may just surpass your abilities and become a life long friend. It is a win win really. Plus if they end up growing Dank weed you are going to end up getting some anyways… :call_me_hand:

I made Pro-Mix work, but not by itself. I used black soil, garden good compost, vermiculite and perlite. Those last two seem to be a bit opposed but I’ve had great success with them.
Perlite is critical in deciding when to water. The more you use, the more frequently you have to water. I used a ton of perlite in my soil mix. My plants seemed to love it.

This is a beautiful thing :call_me_hand:

I have and still do use Pro-mix, Coco and a bunch of other inputs. I have not once had to throw out soil. Ya ya! I realize some of these inputs are not technically soil but you feel me. I have just combined everything at one time or another.

The thing that amazes me is that there are so many different ways to Grow and each and every individual has come up with or is still figuring out what works best for them and their environment.

Individual & Environment being the Key Words there!

Diversity is a beautiful thing in the Plantae, Animalia and Fugi Kingdoms…

Just wanted to give an update on how this  Volunteer turned out.

Go to the original post when the volunteer was found here.

This is how she turned out!

Yes, I had to chop it a bit early. The Electric company was trimming the tress around the power lines and they surely would have see this plant. I live in a non MJ friendly state

If you read my original post I said I was going to leave it alone and see what it would do without any inputs from me.

Welllll…I ended up having to water (no nutes) the little bastard. We had temps over a 100° for a Shart-ton of days this year and no rain. Of course after I chopped it, It started raining…
