Just got my basic solstrip kit and dont know what to do :-D

Where are you grounding your driver to test?

Ok, another thing to try, there are two adjustment pots on your driver.

Io should be adjusted to max,
Adjust voltage as far as it will go, then back 1:4 turn just for testing purposes.

Try that, if it doesn’t work with that, you need a multi meter and possibly help from @Baudelaire

On my kitchen desk  I dont have any multifunkční meter but I went to my friend Who works in Led shop and He also didnt know why it doesnt work :-/

Do you have these Tiny little Brown spots on your chips? Like I do?

Take it all apart and start again @fisch. If you missed something minor first time it will be your best means to find it the 2nd

Think they’re supposed to be on the diodes every dot is uniform

It all looks right, how much are you stripping the leads that go into the connectors on the strips? You want to try to strip enough that they “bottom out” in the connector. This will ensure you have a good connection!

Something doesnt look right with those connectors, are we sure they are all 8 ports are connected together? The ones I use only have four holes, so I would need to look closer at them. They almost look like they are four seperate connectors (two each), but I can’t see the metal traces inside in the picture. A multimeter would sort that out real quick.

Seems there are a few cold solder joints on the strips that aren’t lighting up evenly. @Baudelaire Will take good care of you mate just give him time to respond. Your wiring is correct.

Try loosening the screws closest to the very brightly lit LEDs, they might be too tight.

i think you have the strips going the wrong direction… also you need to use the 2 sided tape to hold them down, not screws… your strips are running East/West and they need to be North/South

Ok I will try it after I get home. But I tried to screw them very lightly. Will see…

Hi @nitro I couldnt do it like you say because the sheet isnt big enough. I Have to get to my 2x2 tent :-/

I buy everything wired and tested, it’s no fun when you get
something new and it doesn’t work like it should. HAHAHAHA.

Specially DIY stuff… Cos’ i know it’s my fault. LOL

Thats the reason, I choose 3W Iodes still. These are having a lot of support and new techniques coming all the time with diffrent Nanometers. You can mix your light on your own basically. These do a great job. Your Strip looks like already half of the Leds are not working anymore. Which is a bad quality sign. I would contact the Seller to tell him the Problems and explain exactly what you did, so he can’t refuse to give new ones. Be well.

Yeah. I am confused right now. I primary ordered basic kit with no sheet and acrylic shield. So the shipping cost is low and so on…

But when I got my set today i found about that I got all of it. Sheet and the shield. So I dont get it now  if I knew this then I would Have let them get tested or something.

Lets wait for @Baudelaire
