I followed this thread, but am not sure if that’s what they meant, and don’t know if there’s a way for them to monitor who follows a thread.
Your toadally correct with the infestation comment! This toad found my pots mid summer and kept coming back (usually to the exact same pot unless I moved them around). He would hide in there during the day and come out at night to hunt.
At first I was kinda pissed and didn’t want him messing up my roots, but after taking him about 100 yards away and tossing him in the neighbors yard, he returned the next day so I just let him stay after that. I figure he was sent to guard and protect the plants from the gnats I had and any other pests.
This was my first real outdoor grow and I’ll never forget Mr Toad. He didn’t do any noticeable damage to the plants btw, so I’ll continue to let him stay if he decides to come back next year.

Well he definitely doesn’t like being handled! When I picked him up with a leather glove, he went absolutely nuts trying to escape. But he never tried to bite me or anything and he didn’t mind me as long as I wasn’t trying to relocate him lol.
One night I was outside watching him hunt for awhile. Got to witness him catch a little cricket which was pretty cool. Had no idea their tongues were that long!

Yeah he really knows how to hide! Often when he was hunting at night he could be found taking cover under this particular little marigold nearby. He blended in real well with the ground and just sat still waiting for unsuspecting bugs to come by.
