New batteries using zinc and air

looks like we may have found something good

" “The new design has been so efficient it suppressed the internal resistance of batteries, and their voltage was close to the theoretical voltage which resulted in a high peak power density and ultra-long stability,” Dr Azhar said. "

That’s sounds pretty amazing. Hopefully it pans out.

Battery power is the biggest hurdle in moving towards an electric society. Glad to see some progress being made here.

I’ve also heard promising research about hemp based batteries.

I tried digging…but does anyone know of companies trying to get this tech off the ground?

Very interesting to see the battery :battery: world evolve and hopefully for the better of us all and many future generations & our planet we are sharing!

in truth… EV’s are going to be an environmental disaster for humanity as a whole.
Until a EV 's body material is able to absorb light and charge the vehicle via full solar power or even wind tunnel turbines built into the vehicles structure along with solar… EV’s are not ready for mass human use. If we continue on the path of mining, refining an then the innevitable recycling of cobalt /lithium and other rare earth metals… it will be an environmental disaster across the globe. This is why the “developed” nations like Canada have recently sold off thier foreign held lithium and cobalt assets to communist china… because china is classified as a “developing nation” and so the environmental standards applied thier nation as a whole are far less stringent than say environmental standards in Canada. They can pollute a will whereas our country has to buy carbon credits… LOL

I’m sorry to all the EV fans out there but do some real research on the entire life cycle of an EV vehicle and the hazards of auto wrecking and recycling the battery components. It’s kinda frightening if you ask me. Especially when in north america the government… with your money is giving tax credits and financial support to buyers who switch to EV… and also at the same time massiely subsidising the companies that will set up shop here… again with your tax dollars.
Evry fire fighter and mechanic/towtruck driver/auto recycler needs to be trained in handling EV’s. Auto recycling facilities will be forced to spend millions upgrading safety mechanisms for disassembling EV’s and recylcing the high toxic and volatile expended battery chassis.

EV’s will be the way corrupt governments control society and if people don’t see that coming… don’t know what to tell ya. I don’t want to live in a society where the goverment gets to tell me what i can drive, how many trips I can make, what parts the land I can access and on and on it goes. No thanx.
Contrary to the absolutte lies being told about climate change… we are no where near the historical highest earth temperatures and in fact we are 14 degrees Farenheit COLDER than the past 500 million year average and only 5 degrees warmer that the historial lows over the past 500 million years.
Science proves this… too bad there are so many suckers out there believig the garbage “science” that portrays the dooms day climate change narrative that gets the government grants.
Wake up people.

But we need ev’s…because global boiling.:sweat_smile:
Governments are full of retards…usa, Canada, and most others.

“This system was designed to lengthen the time run of a common battery all electric vehicles will travel faster and farther in time , it is not the battery technology that is a problem , it is the efficiency usage of this energy from the battery , high frequency oscillations are needed to lengthen the batteries time run , not only does this system run longer in time it is also producing greater power output so much so that the total energy production exceeds the energy of the battery…”
In a nutshell: The process recycles and reuses the electricity from the batteries!

Electricity can be recycled and reused:

Nah man, we’re going to get that alien tech any day now.

I’m always 100% skeptical of a “new battery” because the only one that has worked was the radioactive diamond one. The rest of them are puff pieces to get funding I swear.

which is why we need things like this. zinc and air are pretty common and not so hard to get, nor that environmentally damaging.

Off and on I follow battery tech - at some point - a revolutionary change will take place and we will move into the electrical storage age…

I thought that iron redox flow batteries are interesting on a community scale.

@sfzombie13 I see your zinc / air batteries and raise you iron / air batteries

agreed , we need better and more earth friendly technology before we all start worshiping the current EV technology that is being pushed on us by the governments.
There must be a better way, one that does not cost the common man 5 to 7 years of steep monthly payments to afford and one where wifi connectivity in and out of the vehicle is controlled by the user and not the car company and goverment research groups.
I certainly not against find more earth friendly ways to travel but right now, the current EV’s are a scam in my opinion.

all of that and sodium batteries, then super capacitors and a few more ideas and we have some viable alternatives to what we use now. but they still need work. hell, i designed a car that ran on water but never built the prototype. i need to get back to that.
