I’m sure that minimally you have to at least be able to make your mark and have two others with you who have picture id and will vouch that you are who you say you are. 
I had that very thought. Perhaps it’s happened and we just don’t know about it because it was just a suicidal nut case and the information was never publicly released. 
We’re talking about back in the 1970’s with DDT… The stuff now is pyrethrins, and pyrethrum… not good to breath-in… but not terrible for everyone…
