Looking at their paws, I think they’re both adults, and I was just amazed the difference in the size of the two animals. I’ve read similar articles, and totally accept that they’re not closely related. Now, just take a moment and think about how huge a dire wolf must have been. Fuck.
On our “honeymoon” my wife got to play with a timber wolf “puppy”. He was 2 years old and at the shoulder was taller than my wife sitting down. Absolutely enormous.
