And the third choice……do you really want that for breakfast……cold?
Been there, the skit from SNL was real…
From where I sit, there was absolutely nothing at all political about it. It was religion, not politics. Equally a topic that should not be here, but different style topic any way.
It was a commentary on using religion to justify political choices. I’ve been hearing that same sarcastic commentary from my family since before I understood language, so I’m pretty good at recognizing it by now. Religious freedom and minimal social services doesn’t sound like it’s directed at one specific political party to you?
I understand how one might see it that way. Would it have been more acceptable had I prefaced my post with this -
“I wonder if the numbers cited are accurate, that, in fact, there are only a few (however many that is) Bible verses regarding human sexuality and more than 3,000 about the care of immigrants, the oppressed, and the poor?”
As a lifelong Atheist who has never read nor studied any religious text, it’s an honest question. The source of the post is a Christian religious professional. He certainly knows more about the subject than I do, so I guess I am, at least rhetorically, asking if his assertion is correct.
Is it fair to only ask about the numbers (as a matter of fact rather than opinion)?
Thank you.

IMO, that body remains pretty ideal if not perfection! YUM!
I can understand being curious about it… but honestly, I’d say that question is something better asked elsewhere, if only because it’s likely to bring up political and/or religious arguments. There isn’t even one single version of the Bible, for that matter. Which one is the question about? The meme’s writer doesn’t bother to clarify, because it’s not seriously a question for him; it’s intended to shame the religious right for their beliefs, IMO.
