plus it lets me know i lost my slots without me having to search through and remember what i bid on and what i lost + it was stated in the rules to tagā¦

NOTE: To be exact, the Rules states: āWhenever you outbid someone, PLEASE tag him/her using @ to notify him/her.ā If a member bids at 58.3 Seconds, how can one tag them at say, 58.8 Seconds? The āSniper Trickā is to bid several increments higher, regardless of who the LAST BIDDER is. No Lawyer here, but @LemonadeJoe is!!! It may appear āshadyā, but within the Rules!! My offer stands!!

this is a very cool offer of you @misterbee. i was on my phone during the final minutes of the auction, so i actually had to scroll back up to the top and check to see what my lot number was, ergo i was just a little bit too slow to get in my final bid. but you bid more than i would have on my lot, so iām gonna let it go.
certainly tagging someone youāre outbidding is a nice courtesy, but it hadnāt been enforced during the early parts of bidding, so i donāt see why it would be strictly enforced during the final parts.
ultimately the auction was to have fun and to raise some funds for overgrow. i had a lot of fun and it looks like thereāll be a few dollars headed to overgrow. so mission successful overall iād say. there are so many seeds floating through overgrow that iām sure if i missed something i wanted, it will come my way sooner or later. happy growing yāall! looking forward to part 2 of the auction.

if that is the case, it makes sense. i accepted the ruling without an issue, the whole experience is in good fun, never believed otherwise. just agreed with a need for certainty on the playing rules (but i didnt know it had not been enforced earlier on)

I donāt see why there needs to be a rule. Tagging a person is really a courtesy so the person being outbid gets a notification letting them know they were outbid. Itās not like anyone outbid in the last few seconds has the time to bid again so I get why itās accepted. Tagging will save someone having to go through multiple posts to see they were outbid though so it does not feel like a big inconvenience.
I humbly disagree, you cannot change rules once the auction has started, itās not a fair move, money is not all in this life, happened to me before and thatās why I stay away, all this said with much respect ā¦
As a newb im on the fence. I had 2 lots and realized i would not be able to secure both if someone was bidding on my lots. I wrote out the lot i was most concerned about and posted an @ sign to be ready for the onslaught.
At the end of the day the vibe I got was this is about donations to keep the site im beginning to love rolling. So i will do my part and im going to donate a buck for every lot posted next round.
