Recommendations for good films to smoke and watch

You probably also had a switch on your tv to change to the “American channel”,…
and heavy transformer boxes next to your American 110v appliances so you can convert 220 to 110v…

Hey MichiGreen,
We did not have a TV in 1963 - 65 while in Germany.
When there in 1968 with just my father, as he waited to get back to Vietnam, we did have a TV, but I was running wild between Bad Tolz and Lenggries concerns, in southern Germany, I think, sorry I’m old now.
The GI’s were great friends, as we were at the NCO club every night.
I also played football for the AYA, and found my trout fishing addiction, as streams were everywhere to fish, places to camp over night.
Appliances I can not remember at all, but the military dependent housing was pretty sketchy, run down, bleak looking back then anyway.
Anyway, walking down the old movie lane, made me rethink of being an Army brat, and how poor, but very happy I was beating around on my bicycle.

Having recently finished watching The Witcher,(every minute viewed while I was under the influence of dread ganja).
I am a little surprised that it has not yet been mentioned here.
I never read the books, nor played the video games.
But I enjoyed the series much more than I thought I would. A big part of the fun is that it does not take itself seriously at all. Just simple, silly, enchanting entertainment.
Two giant thumbs up.

Did not think it would be any good, but Bully was actually pretty fun to watch. Same old story, it is the Karate Kid with a fat Ralph Machio , lol, but story is entertaining and acting was good…other than Danny Trejo , who cannot help himslef, lol

Almost every movie with David Spade as the lead role.
I recently watched Farther Of The Year and nearly split my sides.

Another guilty favorite of mine is Adam Sandler That’s My Boy. I wish I had a teacher like that back in the day

I’ve just read a few of the critic reviews on IMDb. They rate it massively high.
The thing about Sandler is you need to go into each of his movies with low expectations.

I cannot stand him! After his 1st two movies which I loved, HE NEVER EVOLVED, still plays the 12 year old, and NOT WELL in my opinion…SORRY, know you love him…LOL

HOWEVER…Uncut Gems WAS VERY GOOD, and he actually played his role GREAT!!! I was shocked.
He actually could be an Actor one day!!!

Dont shoot me

I’d not say I loved him but That’s My Boy has to be one of the funniest films I’ve ever seen. The writer must have the most fucked up imagination to come up with the situations in the film and still manage to make it stupidly funny. Adam Sandler and Andy Samburg fit the roles perfectly.

Did you listen to Sandler on Howard stern? He was so pissed that if he doesn’t get nominated for uncut gems - he will make the biggest flop of the year. Just for fun. Lol :joy:

LoL.

You mean one of his normal regular horrible movies…meh!

Will not get the nod for his work in this…written to fit his “acting skills”
