I’m not a fan of horror but since it is that time of year I’ll throw out a recommendation for this short film (11 minutes) called Too Many Cooks. It’s a wild ride that merges comedy, parody, slasher, and mindfuck genres, complete with a catchy ear-worm song that will be difficult to get out of your head:
I love the Iron Maiden song based on it. Gets the blood pumping!
I’d recommend a little known film set in Ireland called Grabbers.
The residents of a small island have to stay drunk to fight off an alien invasion.
TV Funhouse (ComedyCentral series)
Oh! I love that movie Grabbers!
Almost anything with Chris O’Dowd is great, but Grabbers is first class wierd and hysterical.
Speaking of Chris O’Dowd and things to watch when you’re high…
Watch him read this kids book “Arnie the donut”. Fucking priceless!
LIFE BEYOND II: The Museum of Alien Life
I remember when this aired, I was a young teen that had only tried cannabis a couple times and this peaked my interest.
To this day I still enjoy watching it simply for the nostalgia. It was one of the only things I seen, for almost a decade, on major national TV that even talked about the cannabis and grow scene.
It also never aired again and it’s almost like ABC tried to bury it cause this low quality version is all that’s to be found
My Octopus Teacher, a stunningly good insight to one of the most unusual creatures on Earth, IMHO.
This one, I simply put on the TV as our grand kids were sitting around, glued to their hand held devices.
In a few minutes, one by one, they got captured, as it just mesmerized them. I never spoke a work, as I did want to break the spell they were under.
When something can penetrate the vail of gaming for a teenager, it’s just got to be considered.
Brilliant!

Not exactly a film, but a well made YouTube doc about an amazing gentleman and a possibly perfect getaway,
For the old school rockers, The Song Remains the Same.
