Important safety brief ladies and gentz :exclamation:

:arrow_forward: I made a rookie mistake.

I have an extention cord running from a 20amp circuit up to my ceiling to run both my Mammoth lights. 6 bar runs 680w and the 8 bar 880w give or take.

I in my infinite wisdom was running an extention cord rated for 13amps not 15 like I thought. I knew I could not run full power off of it but it was a temporary solution until I could get in some 20amp rated extentions.

So I figure 80% safe working load would be1440w I had my lights running at 680w and 800w just because I could (1480w) . Little did I know I was not at a safe working load for a 13amp cord which 80% would be (1248w). :man_facepalming:t4:

Only reason I found out was because a cable fell from a spot I had it suspended from and when I went to grab it… well it was hotter than shit and I couldn’t hang onto it.

Let my dumbass mistake be reason to check all cables and clean your areas. I’m just saying…
