They both look good! Did you get a killawatt to dial in your lights? Taller one looks to have a little light stress, might just want to be in a corner.
Lotta bubba coming through in that smaller one. When you flush they turn gorgeous colors!
How do you judge ripeness? I’d be shocked if any went 70 days by trich color, but stranger things have happened…

I’m moving to another state in a couple weeks so this run isn’t getting dialed the way I like it because of how busy I am. I did notice the taller one looks a bit stressed, I only just brought her out of a corner so maybe she goes back.
Yeah the smaller one is already getting some color on her bract tips.
I’m judging ripeness based on trichs right now and they are still clear in the taller pheno.
I’m going to work on dialing with the Killawatt when I get to my new place.

DLA 5 F2 Smoke Report
Tall/Green Pheno
Very resinous, dense but nowhere near as dense as the shorter ones. She’s the only one who has any of that metallic dumpster cabbage taste but with sour kush notes in there as well on exhale.
Her high is soaring, immediately talkative and wanting to get some stuff done(but mostly talk
), that doesn’t last long before you get hit with the most chill vibes that kind of radiate down my back.I have cuts and a mom of her. she is the fastest to veg and grows the tallest. She will be fun with some training. Love this pheno

For those wondering. The move is about half way done. I’ve been working since pretty much the day I got here. Headed back to Chi in two weeks to pick up my wife and kids and bring them back to our new home.

Unfortunately not. It was between a rec legal state or draconian state. And I had to choose the latter for “quality of life”. Chicago sucked

Tomorrow morning the move will finally be completed. Drove 13 hours to pick up the wife and kids and belongings, then another 13 hours back. One hotel stay overnight due to dense fog.
I must say I’m very proud of myself. Several years ago I was a very selfish human being (and in some ways I still am) but enough was enough. Huge thank you to everyone who sent me well wishes or good vibes.
My next post will be a poll of sorts to help me figure out seed popping priority.
Maybe a stardawg guava x ssdd F2 run? Even have some chem 4 x headbanger from doc d that we’re testers that I would slide in there as well for a small F2 run. I have my own space now and things will be condensed but still interesting

Sakura F2 (short pheno)
Bag Appeal: I smoke or gift all my buds so bag appeal is always last for me. That being said she is not lacking on frost, density is there but not cookie density. This pheno will require a grinder to break down, she is the kind of sticky that gets you mad asf halfway through the nug. Some more color could potentially come through with lower temps I would imagine.
Smell and Taste: Smells range from a tropical/floral/fruit to a rubber cement. Something really old school comes in taste when smoking. Can’t really pinpoint it but it reminds me of smoking joints when in my teens. Nothing too exciting but pleasant nonetheless.
Potency and effects: First few hits from the joint and my wife and I agree that there are no signs of the anxiety that some strains give us. She told me she feels chill and relaxed but not ready to sleep. Not much pain relief to speak of. More of a muscle relaxing sensation. As I used a weed eater at work I felt as if I was holding nothing in my hands. Disclaimer: none of the girls this round went more than 8 weeks due to the move.
Overall: I have one of the 2 sakura F2 in clone form but I’m not sure if it’s this one. Regardless, I would grow this one again but flower it at 10 weeks vs 8 weeks, maybe bringing in more terpenes and more of a knockout high.

Sakura F2 (Tall Pheno)
Bag Appeal: This pheno provided nice chunky wands. Great resin coverage. Nice purple hues on “tops”. She was a lot harder to trim than the shorter pheno. Much more dense than the short pheno.
Smell and Taste: Getting a heavier floral/ rubber smell on these, with the slightest of kush undertones that translate on exhale. Can’t really get anything else on this pheno yet.
Potency and Effects: Just as strong as the short pheno (possibly stronger) with very similar effects. It’s actually a bit more of a muscle relaxer than the short pheno. Feeling nice vibrations up and down my arms and back as I sit and write this. Good for someone like me who has trouble focusing on one task, even if only for 30 minutes or so. Much more of an indica leaning pheno than the short one.
Overall: I’m very happy with what I found from these. Having had a limited amount given to me by a mutual friend, I can say @nube made a very wise choice to F2 these. No intersex traits and great medicinal value. I actually have both phenos and will run them again this spring after they get cloned.
