Seeds to Weeds : Live & Learn Organic Edition👨🏼‍🌾📝

COME ALONG FOR THE RIDE WE’RE GONNA LIVE AND LEARN :man_farmer:t3: :memo:

This thread started off as a sick plants cry for help thread but as i grew and learned, the thread has transformed into a diary of sorts where i talk to myself a lot. I always liked the idea of natural farming and producing your own goods and someday that is exactly what I want to do.

Been flushing them out. Run off has been high oh and high ppms so im flushing with low ph tap water coming out at 100ppm

These dark brown spots been popping up more and more over the last few days. Starting to get worried.
Im thinking micronutrients are all out of wack?

On 9-7 it was day 11f i hit them with a tea containing the following per gal 3/4 tbsp molasses 1 tsp insect frass 1/8 tsp azomite 1 tsp kelp meal 1/4 cup ewc 1/8 tsp potash sulfate.

Plain water on 9-11

9-18 Another tea containing per gal 3/4 tbsp molasses 1 tsp insect frass 1/8 tsp azomite 1 tsp kelp meal 1/4 cup ewc 1/8 tsp potash sulfate A shot glass of 5-5-5 pellets from dr earth I then doubled this so i had 2 gallons and cut it with another 2 gals so i had 4 gals total and i added 5ml of photo plus to the 4 gal.
I then watered 8-10 cups per plant

9-21 plain water

9-24 4tsp epsom salt to 75 cups input was 6.2ph and 512ppm here are the run offs per plant

9-27 day 30f plain water

What media are you using? What ph and ec have you been feeding along with any additives you’re using? Knowing those along with watering frequency can help narrow it down more.

Are you sure it’s not just naturally senescing?

You’re pretty far into flowering I bet. For your first plant, you should pay yourself on the back, give it water for another week or so, and harvest it.

Was it a slow burn to all yellow and spotty, or an overnight thing?

I like the questions. No way to answer otherwise.

I wish it was my first plant :man_facepalming:t2: i never really dialed in running organic liquid nutes fully and mid way thru veg i got the full organic itch and bought all types of stuff to go full organic and make teas and im kind of lost and now i got the revs total living organics book and im planning on doing my homework

none of your ph numbers are high for organics… I think you are just out of nitrogen and the yellowing is the result, I would just finish it out with water and harvest

Trying to measure runoff ppms in an organic soil won’t really help you out. There are too many variables in the mix to get accurate readings in my experience. My runoff when I ran Dr Earth dry amendments could vary from 1500-3500 ppms depending on the top dressing strength and at what stage of breaking it down the microbes were on. PH should not be an issue with organics usually but if you’re not following a soil recipe and just kind of wing it then it can get out of balance.
I’d stop the flushing for now as the microbe population takes a hit with constantly being soaked. Feeding some organic bloom nutrients in a light dosage would be how I would try to get them to the finish. I’d also look into just trying the Dr. Earth dry amendment line for a good cheap way to run organics. All I ever added was some Epson salt to my water and it grew nice plants.

Do you think a light tea or 1/4-1/2 strength bottled nutes would be the best route?

Someone with more true organics experience can hopefully answer on the teas. I never used them, just Dr Earth. I’d say feeding them a liquid bloom at 50% or less would be a good idea. The buds look good and you should have some good smoke from them.

I don’t grow organic anymore but I see ppm way too high note red stems burnt tips

And a Cal mag deficiency

Let them dry out a bit

Lower ppms on feed
Add calmag and Epson salts to your feed
Adjust ph before you feed to between 6 and 6.3

Feed around 500 to 600 ppms

Just my two cents

Where are you getting your tea recipes? Check out Tim Wilson, Microbe Organics. He did his homework. Just adding what might seem a benign add, it might kill your microbes faster than you use them.
I do strictly AACT. Compost tea, not a nutrient tea. Only way this tea burns anything is a foliar in bright sunlight.

I got my teas from revs total living organics. I did t not have the full set of ingredients so it was like half ass. This is whar i was aiming for

The Rev!

I’d say probably your PH is a tad too high. Maybe your soil buffer is off which happens after growing in it for a while. This might bring mag/iron/potassium issues. Might be overwatering too which leads to root damage. But that’s a limited guess from here

They seem close to be ready though, so maybe that’s not too problematic.

I have them in fabric pots on a plastic net tray keeping them elevated i also have a medium sized lasko on tent floor airing out the pots 24/7.

I edited original post and included pics, water frequency, and any nute or tea they got
