Good morning everyone!
Good morning bro!
I want the warm air back. That was just crazy and created tornados. One touched down about 8/10 miles from me. Woke me from a dead sleep.
Good afternoon.
Me too @G-paS spring canât get here quick enough.
Yea, the weather was nasty.
I am glad to hear you are safe!

So what do yâall think should the lions go for secondary first say CB then work on the d line for pass rush and rushing shut down. Or go run stop d line then go for secondary? Keep in mind a lot of secondary d players are on special teams as well.
Can you still hang out on sidewalk of Comerica park and watch the game?
Good morning islanders!
Morning @MoBilly
I hope ya have a decent day brother.
Good morning everyone!
Good morning Islanders have a great day.
Good night islanders!!
Good afternoon Islanders
Hope monday is a breeze!
I feel this is best addressed in free agency.
We probably should not forget about Mosley, if he can go that is but he should be able to.
We could grab another Alim McNeill type player in the draft.
I have been looking at Cooper Bebe for O line in the draft.
There is another guy that plays center that I have my eye on but his name escapes me at the moment.
Not for usâŚbut I really like that Joe Milton QB for Tennessee.
Not as much as I liked CJ Stroud in last yearâs draft.
I personally would have done anything to make him a lion.
But I do trust the systemâŚso there is that.
@SmackyMcSmackers
What does Swami Smacky have to say?
Right always love his very well put together analytical response. No emotion just good football.. Where you ever a football coach smacky?
The secondary and special teams does really open up free agency to fill. Especially later in career players looking for a ring but kc and whoever not interested lions look pretty good with short 1-3 year contract. The line is something helps build a franchise . Also draft is great for trades.
I suspect weâll see some O Line depth picked up in the draft, since this year seems to have a bunch of good guards/tacklesâŚnot sure about center, but they do need to plan ahead for Ragnowâs retirementâwhich is gonna happen sooner than later given his extensive injury list (especially the toe that canât really be helped as long as he wants to play football).
I really like Darius Robinson out of Missouri as EDGE/Alim McNeal depth. Dude can play every position on the d-line and has tape of him playing them all.
This yearâs draft is supposed to be deep at CB too. I think the Lions are a true CB1 away from the Super Bowl, but I think thatâs something to obtain as a FA and still draft the next man up. Iâm hearing rumors that CJGJ might be headed back to Philly if the paycheck is right.
Itâs going to be interesting on how Brad Holmes addresses the situation. Iâm a believer that he will be in Detroit for quite a while. It seems He sees things that other GMâs donât, and the last 2 drafts have shown that. Not one other team had 4 rookies make an impact like our rookies did this year. The inter web, sports talk radio callers etc. were calling for his job when he traded Hockinson, THEN turned around and drafted a tight end. Well, Laporta is the real deal, and 3 times the player Hockinson is.
Thereâs a lot of free agents, and the draft looks pretty deep at some spots. I really wouldnât be surprised to see them draft Offensive Lineman with probably 2 draft picks, as thereâs some real talent this year in the draft.
Itâs gonna be a fun year!!!
Itâs nice to see a new regime come in and turn things around in a season and a half, unlike the idiocy they brought in with Quinn/Patricia with the âPatriot Wayâ running our team into the ground with BS, overpaid contracts.
I have yet to see Holmes throw money away, unlike Quinn/Patricia with bad contracts, like the 5yr $90mil Trey Flowers, 4yr $36mil Justin Coleman, and the 4yr $28.5mil Jesse James fiasco, and all this was for the 2020 season, none of which were worth the money.
Hell, I think Jesse James caught a grand total of 6 passes, and probably only played 10 downs.
Trey Flowers was paid for the player he USED to be, and Justin Coleman couldnât defend or intercept a pass if it hit him in the numbers.
I feel they are on the right trajectory now, and have the proper people in place to make the Lions a contending team for years to come, and not the perennial cellar dwellers that they have been.
Good morning Shagg and all the other islanders!!!
Good morning @MoBilly !
Morning @Bobgrows !
