personally i dont quite buy the “time frame” theory on autos. i think there are more variables than just time from germination that impact when an auto will flower.
I have also noticed this with autos, just have not been able to say why. genetics, light used, grow medium etc. but have never had an auto follow the time period. seems i either get early or late ones when growing indoors.
for what ever reason when ever i try and grow autos outdoors i never get big plants or good yields like i do when i grow indoor autos. still trying to figure out why ? seems to reason they would do better under the sun light, but never do for me?
I top and lollipop most of my autos… If they have good conditions and are growing well, they will generally keep cruising right along and can have very nice yields as a result. I’ve also been able to clone autos and get nice batches of seeds from the clones.
Also, autos don’t work as if they have a timer. If they did, clones would flower at the same time and rate as moms, and they don’t. A variety of factors will influence what they do and how they grow. Many will even stack buds and reveg fur months after typical grow times if left to linger in favorable conditions. Torture them and some jump into flower, others will stunt…
They do best with long photos periods and lots of light, which is a big part of why they can be really mediocre to poor outdoors and when grown as filler in a photo tent
