is there a way to get both of the secret santa threads pinned to the top of the page so we end up with more sign ups?

IMHO I don’t think this is something worthy of being pinned. I would be hesitant to push or give too much encouragement for people to join. Anyone who joins should have sought it out and be absolutely certain that they can and will participate by fulfilling the obligation to send a gift.
On previous secret Santas, there were some people who didn’t send a gift, and other members stepped up to make sure everyone received something. I think this is one of several stressful reasons why @nefrella decided she didn’t want to run another secret Santa.
I would prefer to leave it as it is. There’s still 17 days to sign up, so plenty of time for people to find it. We already have enough participants to have a good randomization of gifter/receiver.

fair enough. makes sense. i missed out by not receiving anything for a year or two (can’t remember if it was once or twice. ) and was gifted the 2nd time. so i understand how that feels. either way it should be a nice fun event hoping for the best.

This is the type of event that I would love to participate in, but I’m realistic about my own limitations and how bad I am at getting things to the post office in a timely manner.

This sounds like a lot of fun! I browsed through last year’s secret Santa thread and it looks like it was a great experience for everyone.
Gonna sign up this year and give it a go!
I’m going to have to put some thought into the gift. Maybe browse last year’s thread again for some inspiration… lol.
