VIVOSUN New Product--AeroLight

The fan should be replaceable. But it’s a brilliant design and I designed built, installed and tested custom machines for 30 plus years. I know a good idea when I see one. Not only is air moving a good idea but also having a void in the middle of the lights is also brilliant. The light is always hottest in the middle.

It is indeed hottest in the middle of regular styled lights. That’s also where the largest concentration of usable light to the plant normally comes from. Would be cool to see a light intensity chart, at 12" and 18 inches.

The intensity should be more even instead of center heavy.

No matter what your opinion is of this AeroLight, I’m impressed with @VIVOSUN’s willingness to engage in an open and civilized debate about it. There are some sponsors here who will delete dissenting posts from their threads, and I have no respect for that sh!t.

I think this is a bright new approach to a light.I don’t just like it I love it.Only thing I would change is flip the fan so it blows up to the ceiling instead of the tops of the plants.I flip fans to blow to my ceiling and it throws air to all 4 Corners and the wind trickles down over all tops at the same rate so no one plant isn’t getting wind to make them wiggle nice even air flow.Other than that good concept I like to see new things.

It needs a few more fans and a gyroscope.

Yes indeed for a single phase motor. But they can guarantee it only starts once a day. If it had a snap in reversible fan then you can snap it in for updraft or down draft and replacement becomes a snap. Now that we redesigned the product for them they should send us a prototype with the snap in fan.

This is defiantly a different design than I am used to seeing. Will be interesting to see this evolve and also some folks doing some growing under them. Will there be replacement fans available for purchase @VIVOSUN ? Someone said it has a 5 year warranty but I cannot find that info on the product page, is the warranty 5 years?

I’ve got a mars 4800 too, great light but so far it’s being outperformed by my SAMPHON 480w which was like half the price. Payed $285 with the Amazon sale

I may look into that. I have one tent with two MH 150w TS1000. I would like to retire them to a seedling/clone setup.

You can check towards the more recent parts of my grow journal (hoodbilly highjinks) if you want to see some comparative growth between the two this mf bad as hell

Could be the difference in chips. I see in your journal that you have the FCE and not the FC model. I believe the FCE uses Bridgelux chips and not Samsung like the FC and the Vivosun.

I will look at your log. Sorry I have not been there. I try to stay to the same threads mostly because… lets just say I try to stay away from places here that I know Im not welcome. Already had my wings clipped so I try to stay in my own lane anymore.
But if your inviting me over, then here I come.
