I have the Ronnie Scott gig on blueray. Itās a great show. He was such a fantastic player. Saw him live 6 times, once with SRV and Jeff Healey, once with Clapton. He always blew me away. And yes, very down to earthā¦the guy made a living doing intricate things with his fingers, yet loved working on cars!

Iāve always loved this album. In the moment when it was new, I thought it was so different relative to whatever else was happening musically. As it turns out, itās the only time Iāve ever liked Rod Stewart too.

And an excellent choice at that if I may be so bold as to say!
One of the things I enjoyed bout Beckā¦ he wasnāt into āshreddingā as many notes possible into a bar, but made each note big and important and sometimes strange with sounds nobody but maybe Hendrix could achieve. But different from Hendrixās wild almost savage attack, Beck was totally under control, clear and precise. Something like a brain surgeon on guitar.
