Dumpstaphunk is a fun band to see live! The band contains two members of NOLA funk dynasty family, the Neville’s - Ivan on keys and vocals, and Ian on guitar. Tony Hall is super on vocals, guitar, and bass. Nick Daniels is the full time bass player but some of their songs are so funky they need two!
I used to see them with Nikki Glaspie on drums. She’s a bad ass and has moved on to other things, including touring with Beyonce.

hey all just wondering what the various musical taste in fellow stoners is. mine is country/classic rock/ even some old gangster rap pinkfloyd is good for the ears and eyes …expalained to my daughter back in the day when blazin it was common practice to turn up the component stereo system with and equalizer with lights and maybe turn on the tv to twilight zone with the volume down to give your eyes something to do along with your ears and somewhere in your brain the 2 would meet up.

right now, I’m tuning into some old marshal tucker band fly eagle fly…fire on the mountain… in my own way…

just love the instrumental in that tune specially the flute that sounds like shades of heard it in a love song

ok ramble time over

As mellow as I am I do listen to some angry hip hop and horrorcore shit. I’ll vibe out on some folk rock, pop-punk, and nu metal too.

My ADHD has me everywhere depending on mood and time of day. There are very few “hard no’s” these days but here’s a sample of what on an average day it sounds like inside my own head:

But other days it sounds like this:

And then some days this:

Today is this:

I’m glad it’s helping!

Try this in the background as well, I use it on headphones for “must continue trudging no matter what” days.

Music is one of the most important forms of entertainment and edification in my life.

I prefer instrumentals (mostly jazz, classical and bluegrass). And one thing that I have noticed
evolving over the past several years, is that I have developed an aversion to lots of old rock/pop songs which I used to enjoy. The music is still fine, but the vocals have become irritating, grating and simply unlistenable to me these days. For example when I first heard Led Zeppelin back in 1969, I was gobsmacked by how much I enjoyed them. However, I have a hard time listening to them nowadays, only because of Robert Plant’s voice.
Oh well.
And of course, I can only speak for my own set of ears.

Cannabis greatly amplifies my musical journeys and provides insight and additional layers of enjoyment.

And I agree with Frank
