Man, I think the OF is too hot for seedlings. I always heard you should cut it 1:1 with Light Warrior to cool it off.
I had read that. I mixed the OF with about 30% perlite and the seedlings did great!
For sure they are not hungry! No nutrient burn either, they look good, lowering food a bit won’t do them harm, those are real dark leaves …
Thanks for the reassurance George. Going to monitor real close over the next few days and check run off ph and ppm on next watering. Probley day after tomorrow.
Woke up and checked on my girls this morning and found some faint yellow spotting on a few of the fan leaves of one of the bubbas. Pulled it out the tent and flushed.
I batch the nutes up separate for each plant. I think that batch was too hot. The rest of them still look fine.
I PPMd my run off and it came back at 1050, Way too hot. PH sitting at 5.6.
First sign of anything on the other 3 and they will all get a flush. But so far so good…
Hopefully she recovers and the rest are ok!!
So I finally got around to picking up a small fan for inside the tent. I placed the fan above the canopy, kind of blowing up at the roof, which is doing a good job of moving the leaves around slightly with out having the fan blowing directly on the girls.
This fan is addition to the two 4" inlines that feed and exhaust + the 8" pulling air over the light.
One of my Bubbas had three leaves initially. I’ve read it’s just a mutation and doesnt hurt anything. Could this be pointing to a particular Pheno?
I use ff ocean forest and its a little hot for seedlings. I just mix it 50/50 with recycled soil and have no issues. Once the plants are about 2" tall they seem to handle the ocean forest just fine without mixing.
The ww are looking really good for only 18 days flower.
@anon81143130 Hey, thanks! Good idea for the soil I’ll try it out next time. I think I’m going to pop a couple more Widows for the next cycle. Such an impressive plant.
Going to scrap the Bubba though. They grew fairly awkward this whole run. Ill try out the CKS Strawberry Banana Cheese instead.
3 weeks into flowering today.
Only watering every 4 days and the girls seem to be thriving. Lowered the nutes on all of them slightly to 750 down from the 900 mark I was at. The spotting on the one bubba made me nervous, but after the flush it hasn’t gotten any worse. Better to be safe than sorry.
The bubbas are really starting to show some chunky buds buried inside all that foliage. Alot of budsites/tops are completely shaded and buried, it doesnt seem to bother them a bit.
So day 28 of flower, things are going great…the bubbas are finally starting to catch up to the widows. They are growing short fat nugs. But the widows are still the star of the show. So impressive. Going to be a long 4 or 5 weeks to go!
Very nice widdows bro. Should be a great finish.
End of week 5 today.
RIP Bubba #1. She went hermi on me:( I’ve been keeping a close eye on the bubbas because of a few grow diarysbi saw from cropking where the bubbas went hermi. I guess it’s an issue.
Hope I caught it early enough it didn’t pollute the rest of the tent. I only found a Cpl banana looking things in a few of the buds.
The other bubba and the widows are still doing great though. I’ll get some pics up at lights out tonight.
Ok I need some help here please…
So this hermi plant…
Unfortunately this is the plant that was under the interior tent fan. So it probley sucked pollen and spewed it all over the tent…
I figure the widows might be done in another 2 maybe 3 weeks tops. The other bubba not far behind. Pistals are 25-30% orange.
What are my options.
Do I grow the other 3 out and just hope for not many seeds
Or maybe start flushing immediately for another 10 days or so (havnt fed them nutes since Tuesday) and cut them down a little premature to prevent too many seeds.
Any help is really appreciated!!
Here’s a pic of a cpl sacs
If it’s just a couple sacs spray the plant with your water mister and get rid of the balls on that plant or pull it out. The best approach would be to mist the whole room to keep the pollen down before you make any move as well. You should have time to feed one more time and then flush before you have any notable seed development.
Good luck
Thanks for the info!! Really appreciated. Unfortunately I pulled it out as soon as I seen the sacks and didn’t wet down first…let’s hope for the best
From the bubba I pulled that went hermi.
They look good but for some slight yellowing at the bottom. Not sure if that’s normal or not.
Finally some nice bud porn IMO…
Week 5.5 into flowering
Up first Widow #1, She vegged for 1 week longer than her sister and I think she’ll be done in a quick 7 weeks of flower(1.5 weeks to go). Large fan leafs have been yellowing since I stopped the veg nutes in week 4. On the next run ill probley keep a bit of N in the mix longer. But the buds are still looking preemo!!
Next is Widow #2
She’s going to bud longer than her sister and be a lot chunkier. A little bit of nute burn awhile back doesn’t seem to be bothering her much…
And last up is the remaining Bubba kush. This girl has surprised me. She was born with a 3 leaf pheno. Her whole veg cycle she grew really wonky and odd looking. Twisting fan leaves, lop sided growths. Just weird. But since she’s started to bud, almost no stretch, and just crystal coated. Went from no real hopes to the one im looking forward to the most…
