Dangerdoom is good. How about madvillian. The collab with adlib.

You have impeccable taste my good sir. @Grohio
One of the most underrated diss records ever.
RIP J Dilla!
You might like Larry June His music makes we want to invest or start a Business.
That’s some pimpin’ pimpin’! I’m kinda like Big Boi in that I grew up in the hood listening to Kate Bush along with all the gangster rap. I might play Fleetwood Mac and then Who’s the Mack?!?!
@Solowolf
FUCK YEAH! one of my favorite cd’s.
My favorite tracks from that album:
The jet engine sample in the beat is fucking crazy.
DJ qbert’s music and his presence in San Francisco introduced me to hip hop when I was around 6 years old, but Kool Keith was the first artist that made me realize there was more to rap than just the mainstream. His sense of humor and wordplay betrayed an intellect that was orders and magnitudes more powerful than the artists being pushed by the major music corporations.
Next I found deltron 3030, then MF Doom. The hyphy movement started when when I was in 6th grade, introducing me to all the greatest local rappers from my area, and the rest is history.
Kool Keith is the greatest innovator in rap music. He’s always pushing the boundaries of the genre with subversive humor.
Wherever rap music goes, Kool Keith will be there waiting with better rhymes, better delivery, and a million jokes to prove that whatever the new trend is, It ain’t shit.
Check out his deconstruction of Trap music.
This shit is genius. In one verse, he just dismantled everyone from migos to 2chainz to waka flaka without even breaking a sweat.
Kool Keith feat It’s Alway’s Sunny in Philadelphia
Bushman was the man.
The secret wisdom of Kool Keith:
this aptly describes my life philosophy
My apologies to all those who were scarred for life by Kool Keith’s Dick Towel video.
Just be glad I didn’t post the “sex style” album.
@Solowolf “am I still fired?”
Excellent recommendation kingkush. I’ll be checking out all his work in detail.
Absolutely not! I love getting some history with the music. I started to DJ parties in the hood with my best friend DJ One-Eye Larry, who has two good eyes. We used to get looked at like we were ruining the night just for scratching at weddings and quinceñearas and shit. My brother had a B-Boy crew and I would DJ some of the battles which is one of my favorite things ever. I’ve been hunting for music and asking for suggestions since the 6th grade my brother. Keep them coming! I even used to DJ with a live Hip Hop band. I need help getting the tracks off of my original IPad so I can post them up here. I think this song from Heiruspecs is similar to what our sound was like.
Just started listening to this kid from Stockton. Hope he comes up before they shoot him down. Stockton and Salinas CA is not where you will find me! Imagine Newark and Baltimore type violence, but with way more Mexicans doing cartel and Mexican mafia business. Stockton is like the new Bangin’ in Little Rock HBO documentary from the 80’s.
I hear you about Stockton my friend
I grew up in Soundview Projects, Lord Tariq is from there
