If you refer to me the answer is easy: it’s illegal to grow in my country and I have no idea on breeding, I try to contribute and give back while helping other people with their sick plant problems and occasionally being the EU distributor …
@Swe-can, @Vertebrata, @MikeM, @Gaz29, @Johhnybsmokin, did you receive the Fall Box seeds? People is saying system works fine but it doesn’t. Free seeds thread can keep where it is, no one has talked about moving it upper, the rest as there is money and seeds concerned it is safer to move it off radar, just for security reasons not to piss off anybody.
I know clicks and visits are important to maintain the site, perhaps those who cannot visit, read and contribute more often can have a “special TL3 perpetual status”, also those who have made a seed run, if they become contributors, like russian oligarchs that buy a golden VISA in the UK by investing a lot of money or buying a big house, happens also here in Spain.
That zone dividing in the US is a great idea, we should start to put in practice some good tips that have been posted here …
Look everyone has their own opinions - but the seed runs aren’t ‘broken’ ~ So no need for the different scenarios.
I think That’s what @DougDawson is trying to say too .?!
IMHO I think it’s only someone else from the US that’s needed to have @Sebring ’s back if he’s struggling still …?!
Other than that I have no problems with the way it IS …
No worries! I wasn’t trying to call you out for not having done a seed run (heck, i haven’t either, that would be extremely hypocritical of me!)
That said, it seems odd that you, being someone who never plans on doing a seed run, feels so strongly about limiting others’ ability to help those who may not have TL3. Not to be cynical but, it comes off as greedy to me.
Remember in the past days MomOnTheRun was the HUB and Sebring US distributor. When MOTR sadly disappeared he took both jobs. My guess is he could keep the HUB and delegate in 4 US distributors. He would keep record of sign in and payments on his site, sending all that data to distributors once “cooked” and seeds in bulk so the hard dividing, packing and shipping duty would be distributors task.
This is something to be proposed to Sebring if accepted as idea and would be a great help for him, just my two cents …
100% There is one issue that needs to be addressed but for some reason many want a complete engine and transmission change when they rolled in on a tow truck with a flat and no spare. We just need to fix the flat and get a spare to resolve this.
how about the double load you guys are insisting he lift some more?
MoTR used to distribute and pack. Sebring took it over and already had diygreenlife. Now we keep adding users. More work We break the camel. No one wants to help lighten the load.
That is clearly not the case. The one thing everyone seems to agree on is Sebring needs help and that the workload for him is too much to expect from an individual. There is no arguing that. The thing is that it is all that is needed, more hands to share the load there. Other than that one issue the system works.
Doug, you didn’t even receive all the strains you were waiting for, if you think everything’s ok and no need of changes to be made there’s no need to follow with this discussion, I am sitting on a mountain of seeds so it doesn’t concern me at all, I will mute this thread and start to believe in miracles …
well thats semantics. you need to itemize tasks and assign them then see who has what and if any changes need to be done. Insisting on keeping things the way they are; then adding help without defining tasks is talking out of both sides of your face

edit to add converssation muted…my heart rate and bp can’t take this atm
I am sorry that you don’t seem to understand my words George which you clearly don’t. I have said multiple times that Sebring needs help and that is a problem. That is the identified problem and the only problem. As for me not following the conversation, I am going to keep my response to that statement to myself.
It’s not for you or me to define tasks for Sebring, the one person who would be best suited to decide what “HE” requires to make things easier is missing from the conversation. Sorry you are not willing to wait for the man to return and feel you need to fix this for him but I will be waiting to hear what he wants as his is the only one that can really say what direction he wants to go. As for the talking out both sides of my face, that’s just totally inaccurate.
My time zone proposal was designed as an option for Sebring when he returns. It would take 3/4 of the work load off of him if he was to decide to go that rout. I don’t see it as completely redesigning the system, I see it as him having project partners rather than trying to get the project assignment done on time by himself.
Time zones are not nearly as important as finding well-established members who are highly trusted, super-organized, have tremendous attention for detail and are motivated to get the job done. If we find 2 people with all those characteristics, I couldn’t care less if they lived in the same zip code as Sebring.
No one is telling you to do that, but I have to admit, the fact that you joined Overgrow only 2 weeks ago and have never been involved in any our seed runs in any capacity, even as a recipient, gives me reason for pause…
It was important. He just has a different agenda, he wants to be hidden. Willing to sacrifice all the TL2’s to get his very own way. Very quick to flush Lemonaid Joes traffic down the toilet… it was important to point out the significance of TL2’s side of things.
I’ve signed up for a few, my name is still up there. But without any distributer how am I supposed to receive them? I’ve been lurking around here for years but just recently felt comfortable enough to join because I’m in an illegal state and I was growing for profit for a long time. I’m sorry my lack of time on here means my suggestions are invalid. Overgrow taught me much of what I know and I thought I was able to contribute for the betterment of the site. I understand the necessity for gate keeping because of issues that have risen up in the past. But the fact of the matter is, all I’m trying to do is participate in Overgrowing the world.
OK, then it is decided. Everybody agrees Sebring needs help. We all have been spitballing and have not been coloring inside the lines as sometimes it is good to look outside the present structure to identify institutional problems.
I think a big problem is not being able to contact Sebring. It would be good if one person from OG could check on him to get an idea where things are and if there is anything that can be done to help. Is there a member close by that can? Also just giving the distributors an idea if they are getting anymore packages or not. If the shipments went out but got lost in the mail the not knowing they were sent is causing way too many repeated inquires in the thread.
Going forward with the next box we can hopefully get the load lightened on Sebring. It would be a good idea to know how many people and runs along with where in the US the members are to find a good split to divide the work more evenly. Just saw PNH’s post, if a person in an area want’s to take on more then that would be great, no need for a even split in the duties. I thought I had more to say but got interrupted by a phone call.
