Anyone have any experience with Dimlux 1000 DE

I’m trying to decide to go with Gavita or Dimlux 1000 DE for a new room. I like the controller for Dimlux, but there are such a new product and Gavitas are well…Gavitas. Any thoughts? Thanks

I have only used gavita not dimlux and loved gavita. They have a controller that I liked also. I’m a geek and liked the sunrise sunset option, and adjustable overtemp shutdown. It also allowed me to hookup plasma with hps on the same controller while still able to dim the hps. The Dimlux may have that also i wouldn’t know. It isn’t exactly the info you wanted but i hope it helps.

Do you mean DIMLUX EXPERT SERIES 1000 WATT DE EL UHF for double ended 400V lamps?

Personally I don’t have any experience with it. Still the high price prevents my from tryin it out

I’m pretty sceptical about changing current to other than 1000w output (this ballast allows 600 to 1200w output with 1000W 400V EL UHF), cause I believe that it will decrease lifespan of the lamp. Can anybody verify my suspicion?

Yes, that is the system I’m looking at. I like the maxi controller that is compatible. It has the same features as Gavitas controller, with some extras, like infrared camera that measures plant leaf temp to dim lights and control humidity and temp based on VPD.

I can’t verify for sure that dimming wattage lowers bulb life span, but I have heard it multiple times. I cant imagine how dimming the lights again and again based on vpd is not detrimental to the life of the bulb.

I didn’t really think of that, thank you

I was disappointed about Monsanto buying out Gavita. I like the BioThrive grow and bloom but again bought out buy Monsanto. Sounds like Dimlux will have you covered.
