Anyone see something like this before?

These are them, overgrown and will be readjusted, today is day 23.

If they are Broad Mites how would you proceed? My initial thought is to scrap them considering i have clones of SkyLotus just about rooted. I don’t want to fight a losing battle, especially if the other half of the room is in vulnerable, if not compromised already…

I really am looking forward to seeing those through though, seem to be great genetics, you may know the breeder… haha

they’re your S.M.F.'s and 9LB Hammer cross

I am hoping like hell you are right…

Yea I personally have seen this happen to new vegetation from spraying fulvic acid, even in smaller amounts. Just my .02. I have also had broad/russet mites. Those things will typically go for clones/weaker genetics. Healthy new seeds you will see be able to fight russets off mostly, or like they aren’t attracted to them as much. Under the leaf crevices and in the kinks of the leaves. They are tiny as shit. Nothing kills them aside from the infamous guardian spray that has been banned.

Just my opinion if it was russets, almost all of your plants would be screwed and unhealthy.

Wrote you a small book in PM.

For anyone wanting to learn about one of our friends look up Neoseiulus (Amblyseius) californicus.

That is an untrue statement. There are multiple sprays that kill them dead. There is however nothing that can be sprayed in flower that is safe for consumption, so plants need to be revegged back out to take new cuts. There are also about 5 natural predator mites that eat them and several flying insects that will. You just have to know what can be used together so that one bug is not eating the other.

FWIW the hardest thing about broadmites is knowing you have them. After that they ain’t shit.

I’d think my JWA would put the cabash on them ! Homemade insecticidal soap made with potassium hydroxide biodegrades in 5 days maybe be a rinse with water afterwards , thoughts? @LED_Seedz I’m always kind of the mind set of not spraying in flower also but looking at post 30 those are definitely bugs IMO hard to tell on post one though.

Fair enough. How I should have worded that would be, nothing I have tried, kills them. Also to your original point new growth that looks like that is definitely a symptom of mite damage. Could be too early to have repercussions on other plants. Lots can play part.

Different strokes and all that. I am unfamiliar with that technique personally and have no real experience to give any thoughts. I tend to stick to things I know work and work fast.

I also will not spray anything in flower ever. I have the ability at most times to be able to get back certain cuts and not everyone has that option so I suggest methods to suit ones needs and not necessarily what I would do exactly.

As to trying to save plants in flower that are effected in my eyes there is no way to save those plants per say. Pull them back to veg, trim them back real well, treat them and get them revegging again. Take cuts on new branches to save these and trash the rest. That is typically what I suggest and I also suggest harsh chemicals.

Here’s an update,
I have yet to see a mite, few eggs but they don’t resemble broad or russet eggs.
I had a few herm out on me, they were sent to the chopping block, 7 survivors remain.
I’ve stepped up my IPM, got some predatory Mites to be on the safe side, sprayed with a product labeled Smite, from Growers Choice if I recall correctly, which is safe to spray in flower (still in transition), using Rosemary oil in my reservoir and sprayed with Dr. Bronner’s peppermint soap as well.
I did find some rot on a few that i culled, and i may scrap the remaining depending on recovery.

The other side of the room i have just let ride, no signs of any issues besides a slight leaf curl on my Jedi OG’s. I plan to is predatory Mites as well as soon as they arrive.

Day 29 on these Ladies

Keep in mind when using these mites that any sprays will also kill them and everyone is so small you’ll never even see it happening.

Best of luck!

Thank you, just arrived today. I’m done spraying, I don’t after transition.
If they don’t bounce back quick they’re toast. They farther along side wasn’t sprayed which is where the mites are going, and the veg room, quality and integrity of the end product is priority, I won’t put out anything compromised.
