Oh that Haze…well done…
Six weeks into flower. This strain (don’t know what it is) generally keeps laying on the cheese for 9 or 10 weeks. Still no yellow fan leaves, so we’re really not close to harvest. Burned a couple before I raised the light, a 600 watt Solis Boost ballast and bulb. This is all organic–bat and seabird guano.
Looks like earliest Destroyers… Sativa, @lumbo?
I believe it’s mostly indica, although the longer flowering time makes me wonder. There are two phenotypes–one with long, pointy colas and the other one which flattens out and produces huge, baseball-sized main colas when grown out completely. There are also some individuals of both types that don’t tolerate fertilizer very well. Of this current grow, with 13 plants, 3 got pretty sick-looking after the first application of flowering tea (Indonesian bat guano w/Peruvian seabird guano). When I see that, I only give them water from then on and they recover somewhat. Enough to keep them, anyway. If I need extra room, they’re the first to go. The fertilizer-tolerant individuals just keep fattening up. I give them the phosphorus tea with every watering until the last couple weeks when the fan leaves start to turn yellow. You can see from the ram’s horn fan leaves and burned tips that I push it a bit with the ferts. But it pays off, I think.
The original seeds came from a friend of a friend up in Maine years ago who is, I believe, a commercial grower. Over time, I got some contamination from hermi pollen, so the seeds I’m using now are feminized. I get 100% females and very few hermies. So it works for me. As a med user who needs nausea control, I just grind up the buds and make Green Dragon. It’s pretty good herb–nothing special–but it is highly productive and meets my needs.
Hello all glad to of stumbled on to this great site! I started late December and have have so much fun doing this! Learning so much, by nature I guess you could call me An all organic guy ( nothing has touch these girls that has come from a plastic bottle) some of my latest bud porn
Welcome! Great picture’s.
Pineapple Express
I laughed. That’s a cute little pineapple Just you wait for my dragonfruit pics in (checks his watch) several years.
Here’s my harem at about 8 weeks. Judging from the fan leaves and the calynx color, still a couple more to go. I can wait. This strain–not sure what it is–tends to do this late in flower. Pretty sticky but not too bad on the smell. Some Northern light variant, I believe. I started with 13 plants and have harvested 3 early when they showed signs of hermi (feminized seeds). So that leaves me with 10 to finish out, 8 of which are shown here. The other two are younger and hidden in back. All in all, not a bad looking grow at this point. No major problems slowing it down.
