Well, we went and took part of the fence boards off and built a gate. But it got dark too quickly and I forgot to snap a picture of the gate. I’ll do that tomorrow. But here is the fence anyways lol
Didn’t get a photo again, BUT we did build the fence gate to completion today… & built a new 18 ft x 2 ft garden bed along the backside of the yard next to the fence. So we basically have garden beds going 360° around the 16x25 ft vegetable area now.
Garden updates. Unfortunately no Cannabis seeds have popped yet, I direct sowed them in the Potting Soil, so hopefully by next week something will happen, or I’ll plant more a different method.
After all the rain over the last 2 days, everything is looking beautiful
@Hashpants thanks It’s fun working outside for the most part.
Fixed up the shitty garage door. (It’s broken) the hinges broke lastyear when cleaning out the garage ( 2 tons ) 40 ft dumpster … I screwed the garage door into the frame of the garage and filled in all the air gaps, so it’s now a wall lol
$30 of paint and it looks alot better despite the crazy amount if dents ect in it lol
The 1 next door neighbor also smokes, So I’m going them 4 plants to grow outside too. This way the other 2 neighbors don’t really know where the smell is coming from hahaha.
That garden box on the right is filled untreated wood slabs, branches and woodchips. Dropped 2 bags of Blueberry specific seafood compost and Purchased granular Fertilizer for Blueberrys that helps keep PH low. The soil I’m using tomorrow is Pro-Mix App Purchase garden bail and I’ll mix in pine needles in the fall, like a garbage bag full.
Hopefully this is enough the store I got the plants from gave me 1yrs warranty on the plants as well.
The granular fertilizer will handle the ph, it’s what I used to use. I would still recommend a ph meter to make sure things are going fine. Wood chips and pine needles are good organics, but could use nitrogen to start decomposing. Organic materials like that won’t alter the ph though, in case you were thinking it would. For organic lowering of ph, I use pure sulfur pellets.
I would mix ammendments into nearby soil thoroughly, Blueberries like to be bedded firmly in soil, where I have added ammendments to the hole , they didn’t do well.
