This is why I only get the “Handled by Amazon” stuff. Even if it arrives DOA I send it back and get a full refund. Anything sold ON Amazon but not handle by is avoided 110%.

Seeds are fresh. Probably thick shells. A pair of Swiss army knife tweezers works really well to get helmets off. Close the tweezers and while closed push them into the crack of the shell and then let them open.

I use one or 2 toothpicks to get helmets off
I am very careful
