@Kushking902 Thanks for doing this run, I’m looking forward to seeing what you find. I picked up a few things from FTS Genetics to run in the future. They have been straight up guys and always answer any inquiries I have. They are peeking in on this run, so if you have any concerns, I would encourage you to reach out to them. I wanted to share some insight from the guys from a conversation we had back when they were making these seeds. I did get their permission to share.
“Ok so here is the deal with the Road Kill Skunk. So what I found in this line was interesting to say the least. I found other amazing stinkers too. A few had this mentholated piss smell. And one sweet not fruity but sweet with a skunk backer. And a couple that will not make it into the preservation regardless of what they smelled like. Their growth and trichome coverage was weak. But the male I found was friggin outstanding. Beautiful heavy dense clusters and so stanky really beautiful.”

The shells did come off on their own. I’m sorry I haven’t been posting as much as I wanted to be but things went a little sideways on me.
Out of the 10 seeds I started with 4 never even cracked, 2 looked like they were going to be strong and 4 looked about average but never sprouted after they were planted. Out of the two that sprouted one was a very light translucent green and only made it a couple days.
I was only left with one lone survivor so I immediately contacted FTS genetics to see if there was any pollen available in case the last one turned out to be female. The last one made it about a week and stopped growing and dried up.
The reason I haven’t been posting here is I wanted to get everything figured out before I let everyone know the bad news.
FTS is making more seeds and as soon as they are available I will be getting some and finishing this co op.
I know this is shitty news, there’s a lot of interest here. So the bad news is this will be postponed until I get more beans but the good news is this is still happening and either way they would be in the spring box.
Also when talking with FTS he mentioned that the seeds have thick shells and he uses a hydrogen peroxide mixture for germination. This is what I will be doing when seeds are ready.
The 4 beans that never cracked I’m currently drying and will try to germinate those again. I know the chances are low but I’m going to try everything that I can.

Thanks for the update bud and it is what it is. All you can do is try and sometimes other forces at work clash with that effort. Looking forward to seeing if anything comes from these 4, but if not, that’s ok as well. Appreciate your hard work here🤝

So they all either died or didnt germinate, that sucks. Not much to do bud, these things happen. I feel for you, nobody wants to give bad news. Next attempt will go much better for you bud, dont let it get you down.

Yeah, I know these things happen sometimes but I honestly can’t remember ever loosing an entire pack like this and for it to happen when so many great people are looking forward to it really sucks.

So good news lol, everyone can ignore my last couple of posts. After I posted those I went on strainly and seen I had a message from FTS genetics asking if I was the guy doing the preservation on overgrow. I told him yes and this is what he said.
“Dude what ever you do don’t stop the preservation. I have been looking in on Overgrow. That complete sucks that this happened. From what I get from this is that the people that are locked is per say are going to get seeds when ypu are done with the preservation correct. I’m not a forum guy so I’m not to sure how that works. But I’m going to send you some from my personal stock. This way ypu can keep going. I’ll ship them out tomorrow and overnight them so they get them asap. I don’t want to let those people or you down. So no need to worry or wait I got you. Send me your shipping info brother.”
I asked if it was ok to post this message he sent because wow! It really shows what kind of person he is. Definitely a stand up guy. Thanks to him we will be back on track in no time.
